Russian media: The head of a district in the Kursk region of Russia was killed by a fallen tree while he was chopping wood for the needs of the military at the front.
“This morning, during work on collecting firewood for the needs of the Northern Military District, a tragic incident occurred near the village of Kshensky. As a result of the fall of a felled tree, the acting officer was injured. Head of the Sovetsky District Sergei Valentinovich Belykh. He was immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment. However, due to serious injuries, our colleague died."

Baza says that more than 875 million rubles were stolen by PromSpetsStroyGroup (PSSG) during reconstruction of the flight test center in Akhtubinsk, and that an investigation was begun in April 2022 but has not progressed in two years.

At least 18 Belarusian political prisoners were released from prison on July 3, @viasna96 reports. According to human rights defenders, 4 women and 14 men were released on July 3, including 67-year-old chairman of the BPF Party Ryhor Kastusiou.
Human rights defenders keep informational silence for the safety of political prisoners, so they haven’t published the names of the other released yet.
Currently, 1423 people are recognized political prisoners in Belarus. Over the past 3 days, 25 more people convicted for political reasons received the status of political prisoners.
