The Ministry of Defense of Belarus passed off footage from 4 years ago as preparations for the upcoming parade
This morning, the Telegram channel of the 61st Fighter Air Base published a video of preparations for the air part of the parade, which will take place on July 3. The video, shot from the cabin of a fighter, showed the streets of Minsk.
Later, the video was published in the Telegram channel of the Belarusian MoD. The caption said that it was “exclusive footage of preparations for the air part of the military parade.”
However, upon close examination of the video, it turned out that the “unique footage” has nothing to do with the preparations for the parade, which will be held on July 3, 2024. The video was filmed during the preparations for the parade, which was held on May 9, 2020.
For example, the video shows a building located at the intersection of Kharuzhei and Bahdanovicha streets. However, it was demolished back in Januar...
