@ukraine_map @Viktor__Reiter: Losing a Patriot is not worth the PR. If Russia launches Kinzhals at an airbase, and Ukraine reports those Kinzhals shot down then that confirms to Russia the position of the Patriot system at the airbase.

@robphair @PhillipsPOBrien: I think hitting this kind of target could be unhelpful in getting the White House and others to lift restrictions on hitting Russia proper amd I think the reactions of many is evidence to that side of it.

There are certain nuclear forces related targets (LRA excluded) that I think should be avoided as they aren't about Ukraine and the war but affects the US/NATO - Russia relationship.

Also, not everything the Ukrainians do is equally well thought through and Western vs Ukrainian interests do diverge at times.
