@deaidua: Do we know if the first two German Patriot Batteries sent or the next one can fire PAC-3 CRI/MSE Missiles or just PAC-2? Could they be upgraded to fire PAC-3 MSE/CRI missiles?
The Patriot in Kyiv can fire PAC-2 and PAC-3 CRI/MSE it’s best suited for intercepting Kinzhal missiles

@ukraine_map @BDBSoCal @RepSpartz: She claims:
“From roughly $77B slush fund in the Ukrainian supplemental ($61 in budget outlays + $16B blank check for drawdowns & loans for any foreign country or intl organization), only $13.8B - somewhat direct military aid.”
When in reality the bill is $60.75 billion in total. Only about $30 billion will be going to Ukraine not $77 billion, and $7.85 billion of that $30 billion is a loan.
There is $13.8 billion in orders in direct military aid, US is buying it from companies investing in American companies and then they make equipment like new air defense systems or shells to be sent to Ukraine. That’s helping America and Ukraine. They will be making air defenses to protect the village she is born in and she voted against that.
Additionally, there is $7.8 billion of old or current equipment that will be given to Ukraine then US will buy new equipment for themselves. That’s helping Ukraine defend Eastern Europe from Russia and also helping the US buy better equipment for themselves while getting rid of older equipment.
It’s not a blank check. A loan is not a blank check. The only money being given to Ukraine is in form of a loan and it is a small loan compared to previous Economic aid packages, and the usage of the money will be carefully tracked. The remaining $30 billion in the bill is directly for the US Military or European Allies, none of the rest of the bill is for Ukraine.
In reality, Ukraine is getting $21.7 billion in aid directly, not in form of a loan, not the $60.75 billion or $77 billion like she and others claim. Her statement shows she decided not to read any of the bill.

@pravda_eng: And how many Russian tanks were taken out during that same period?
Five tanks taken out is nothing in this war. The US has thousands of active Abrams Tanks and thousands more in reserve. 31 Abrams Tanks is nowhere near enough when Ukraine needs hundreds of them to have an impact

Another trial against Belarusian political prisoner, founder of Symbal.by Pavel Belavus is scheduled for April 29 at Minsk City Court.
@reform_by noticed that the wording of the trial is exactly the same as in the trial against the defendants in “Tsikhanouski’s case” – “other issues related to the implementation of the sentence, definition, ruling.”
On May 11, 2023, Pavel Belavus was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

‘After passing the bill in the US House of Representatives on aid to Ukraine, it will go to the Senate, and after approval, Ukraine will receive critically needed military aid. Certainly, this is quite important news, but there are several important nuances that need to be discussed.
From repeated frank conversations with both analysts of American think tanks and lobbyists in the United States, I concluded that such a large aid package may be the last this year. Moreover, there is a fairly high probability that all subsequent aid packages for Ukraine will be much smaller in size. One such representative has said frankly (published with his permission) that we should no longer expect funding for major operations, as was the case in preparation for an offensive operation in 2023.
The United States will continue to develop production and supply Ukraine with 155 mm ammunition, GMLRS, as well as self-defense and air defense equipment. However, this is not enough to achieve military parity with Russia, not to mention successful army-level offensive operations, for which it is necessary to replenish dozens of brigades with both equipment and personnel. I want to repeat that this does not mean that the States will stop helping at all, but if you look at it frankly, such volumes will only be enough so that the front does not crumble.
I am writing this not in order to amuse treasonists and supporters of conspiracy theories, but so that we can correctly assess the situation - if during this year Ukraine and the EU will not be able to reach sufficient levels of military production or alternative supply (for example, through purchases from third countries at the expense of partners or frozen Russian assets), in 2025 we may find ourselves in a very difficult situation.
Although Ukraine is objectively doing a lot to establish military production, this may not be enough if the US continues to reduce supplies.
The aid provided by the US buys us and the European Union time, about 1 year. During this time, the Ukrainian society and the authorities will have to solve the question of how to provide the units with both weapons and personnel in order not to end up in 2025 where we found ourselves this winter.’
