0.5m📷 from 27 Feb 2024. Turkey shoot anyone?

Packed house once again. Also, the painters have been busy - deceptive camo on the 22160s and the Ivan Gren now.

This Financial Times article is an interesting read due to the level of detail, not because it reveals "a threshold for using tactical nuclear weapons that is lower than Russia has ever publicly admitted".

Here are three figures, originally Russian writings, retrieved by me from the CNA report "Russian Strategy for Escalation Management".

IMO, the FT article describes what these figures say about nuclear use in regional- and large scale war in more practical terms.

Another drone surrender case, likely on the Rozdolivka to Spirne front.
A🇺🇦10th Mountain Assault Brigade drone drops a note to a Russian who wants to surrender. It tells him to follow the drone which then guides him to UAF positions.
A KIA comrade remains at the abandoned BMP-1.

RT @Drox_Maritime: 🔺Arctic Air activity

A Russia Navy NFAF probable Tu-142 completed an 6-hour routine MARPAT during the AM 28 February 2024. Aircraft unlocated but likely operated in the SBAR supporting Northern Fleet warship exercise activity. @The_Lookout_N @BarentsNews

RT @FinnishAirForce: The Finnish Air Force’s agile combat employment concept includes the use of highway strips also in winter conditions. During exercise #Hanki24, the F/A-18 Hornets operating from Tikkakoski Air Base take off from a strip of Highway 4 adjacent to the base. #ilmavoimat

RT @AlexLuck9: Quite a scoop here by Thomas Wiegold at @AugenGeradeaus:

German frigate Hessen intercepted Houthi drones with RAM & 76 mm main gun.

Before that incident however Hessen tried to intercept, by mistake, a US MQ-9 UAV using two SM-2, both of which failed for "technical reasons".
The Lookout (Twitter)

RT @AlexLuck9: As per report the MQ-9 had its IFF turned off & operational command (presumably EUNAVFOR Aspides) was unaware of its presence. According to a spokesperson "the incident has been analysed and the deficit was corrected". Unclear whether referring to IFF issue or SM-2 issue or both.

@samsonsliteye: Yeah, my thoughts too.
Perhaps he had a hard life?
Some more bits:
From Kerch, Crimea. Says that after the 2014 'referendum', he was unable to find a job as a janitor because of his UA passport, so he had to apply for a RU passport. Signed a contract voluntary on July 17, 2023. "You probably will not believe me, but I needed that money to properly arrange the graves of my parents".

RT @GLandsbergis: And what about our response? We have taken every opportunity to declare what we are NOT going to do. We have imposed red lines on ourselves and announced them openly, while our adversary operates without any. 🧵
