@jpmercier7 @nexta_tv: People can express their opinion about a terrible decision. We don’t all have to agree with everything that’s done. And you should know that no matter what disagreement Ukrainians have they will always be united. This was truly the worst decision Zelensky has made during the war.

@darkpha47296768 @jpmercier7 @nexta_tv: It’s like people aren’t even allowed to express their opinions or criticize a terrible decision. We all have to accept awful decisions, as the best decisions. Kind of like North Korea or Russia works, but not Ukraine.

@Kloothommel74 @wartranslated: What you’re talking about is an air to air missile. This is Russia. They unrealistically increase their weapons stats. Ukraine uses fighter jets on the front every single day and it still exist and they have about 100 planes so if the Su-27s aren’t getting shot down 30km in the front, F-16s won’t be getting shot down either. The whole argument that F-16s are going to be shot down if they’re used is completely unrealistic because Ukraine’s current Soviet Air Force is not being shot down by these missiles.

@colone1flanders @DefMon3: Almost immediately after he was appointed as the Commander-in-Chief a statement was released saying that they’re committing more troops to the city, then Zelensky the next day said that he ordered CinC Syrskyi to send more reinforcements to Avdiivka, and today a Forbes article was just released saying that they’re committed their 3rd best brigade to Avdiivka.
It’s the same that was done in Bakhmut a year ago, where Ukraine continuously kept trying to keep the city at a really high cost of Ukrainian forces, and a lot of them ended up dying or getting injured when it was better to withdraw. Now Ukraine, with a shortage of equipment and a shortage of ammunition, and not enough soldiers is committing thousands of their best troops to go fight in a near encirclement where they are bombed with over a 100 glide bombs a day. This is why it was so bad, Syrskyi himself is known as the “butcher”. It’s not going to look good when Ukraine losses Avdiivka but that’s what Zelensky needs to understand, either they withdrawal from the city or they continue trying to keep it at a very high cost to the Ukrainian forces.
That is a sharp difference between what Zaluhznyi’s strategy has been, to preserve soldiers, and what Syrskyi’s strategy is, the opposite that takes more risks by throwing soldiers into dangerous situations. That’s also what Russia’s strategy is, but on the other hand, they actually have the ammunition to do it and they have more people to take to throw at the front line so they die to make territorial gains. Propaganda wins are not more important than the lives of Ukrainian Soldiers.
