From the 4th Company, 2nd Batt. A convict allegedly recruited against his will and told he wouldn't be sent to the front line. He was captured when he left a bunker at night. He claims in some groups there are many dead; e.g. out of 12 men, only 3 survived as WIAs. Supplies are poor at the fighting positions.

636.🇷🇺108th Air Assault Regt losses on the Verbove front.
Quite a story (long):
A recent mobik to 2nd Company, 1st Batt newly arrived in Verbove. On 29/12 his platoon was divided into 2 groups, the 1st to capture an OP, the 2nd to capture a dug out near Verbove.
His group of 6 men and another group of 6 used BMDs. They were told they would be 130m apart but the 2nd BMD moved away from then during the advance and when they dismounted they realised they were at the wrong place. There was no UAF there and no firing in the treeline so they occupied it. Later they were shelled and only he survived.
Wounded he retreated through a minefield to reach a dug out, but realising the next morning (30/12) that it was UAF held so he surrendered. He was given first aid.
He thinks, the 2nd group did not survive either. His commander died as well. His platoon consisted of 18 men: 2 six-men squads, 2 sappers, and 4 in reserve. The reserve ...
