US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced the establishment of Operation Prosperity Guardian, a multinational initiative focused on securing maritime commercial routes in the Red Sea, amid increased attacks by the Houthis from Yemen.
The initiative involves ten countries: US, United Kingdom, Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles and Spain.
