There are more urgent needs for USAI now than AMRAAMs which we have a ton of. That can be replaced with Drawdowns

They could’ve been operational months ago, but they are wasting months making up their minds, finding translators, finding a training ground, beginning training, and pledging 0 F-16s despite having many more F-16s than any country in the world

Do you know how drawdowns work? They send it, (example: with F-16s) then replace it for themselves which is the more important thing to do today than USAI

Gen Hertling has good thoughts on how Western assistance, advice and mentoring can help the AFU improve upon some of the issues that needs to be addressed iot be more successful in the future.

For the last week at least, the Russian MoD has issued press-releases like this one many times a day, on UAVs being downed in various regions.
If someone has time, it would be interesting to see if these can be corroborated with local media reports.

@auonsson: I think this might be a combination of different activities: exercises, training and some monitoring of Russian activity. In the Skagerrak/North Sea we have the two Steregushchiy's.
Therefore to me, this doesn't look that unusual for the season and it hasn't triggered any suspicion yet.
Exercise Northern Coasts is set to begin on the 8th, so there will be some activity in the lead-up. SNMG 1 spent last weekend in Stavanger.

HUR MO released footage of a Ukrainian UAV being approached by a Russian Mil Mi-28 helicopter.
The circumstances of this encounter aren't exactly clear.
The Ukrainian side claimed that it occurred in the area of Cape Tarkhankut in the Crimea, and that two Russian helicopters (+fighter jet) failed to shoot down the UAV during a long chase.
