Personally, I think ATACMS is easier to intercept than Storm Shadows or GMLRS. But Russia will still have a hard time intercepting them. But many US Military officials have said ATACMS will help greatly

@VictorishB123 GMLRS-ER would be a big game changer in the <150km range. I think the production rate of GMLRS-ER matters too. But Ukraine needs 300km missiles too if they want to hit Crimea. GMLRS-ER can have a larger impact but USA restricts Ukraine for hitting military targets Russia in GMLRS

@360_Secure @VictorishB123 US has over 9,000 better cruise missiles that have a longer range, are more advanced, more accurate, have a larger warhead, are harder to shoot down, and some are stealthy

ATACMS is outdated, it’s being replaced and could only reach ~2% of China if fired from the coast of Taiwan

@VictorishB123 @360_Secure Like I said, I do not believe that USA would be sending Ukraine ATACMS if they will easily be shot down. But I do not think they are very easy to get shot down

USA hasn’t considered sending Ukraine SLAM-ER, JASSM, Tomahawk. It’s not even on the table. So we are stuck with ATACMS

There are several good signs:
1. The WSJ Article
2. Biden changed his tune on it
3. A lot of pressure from Congress
4. The escalation excuse is gone
5. Ukraine critically needs long range missiles
6. Abrams, Patriots were not send for a while…
