@DavidDo27585988 @centaurblossom @DefMon3 3/3. To confuse things the the National Guard had its own 3rd Operational Brigade (from Kharkiv) which like the Army's 3rd Assault Assault Brigade fought around Bakhmut in the winter and performed well. Over the winter it was renamed the Spartan Brigade under the Offensive Guard.

@e_slovalia Thanks. Some I herd of, but largely new to me. Hopefully, I will add when significant media is released.

@DavidDo27585988 Yes good point. Possibly the main distinction is on source of equipment. The nine brigades getting western primarilly - the 6 not?

@DavidDo27585988 Thanks yes. And you just jogged my memory on something I saw.

Russian missile strikes hit the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv tonight.

The sound of one of the impacts can be heard in the video recorded by Kharkiv resident.

I think Prigozhin is exaggerating both Russian and Ukrainian losses (he has a incentive to do so for both), and I think it is a mistake for the Western media to take his statements at face value, which happens too often.

@GeromanAT:
"we believe the numbers of Progozhin when we like the number of Russian fallen - but not when he talks about Ukrainian losses"

RT @GeopoliticalGu1: A drone resembling a Mugin-5 Pro was spotted in the area of Balashikha east of #Moscow which is roughly 420km from the most proximal #Ukrainian border line. Senior Lieutenant Nikita Arzhanov was a recon platoon commander in the VDV's 31st Air Assault Brigade. He took part in the landing at Hostomel and fought in Popasna, Kherson, and Svatove-Kreminna. He was killed near Bakhmut on May 14 by artillery.

Another member of that brigade, Roman Kalinin, was killed in Luhansk Oblast on March 10 (presumably on the Svatove-Kreminna line). He was a volunteer and deployed in October. 2/

@mack_a_d00 Elements of the 106th Airborne Division have been operating around the flanks since like December, but they rotate in and out. Part of the 31st was moved more recently, but not clear if they'll be sent to man the front.
Rob Lee (Twitter)

@mack_a_d00 Well, it looks like the majority of the recent fighting on the flanks was done by worse Russian motorized rifle brigades. Certainly, some VDV units have taken heavy losses, but I think they are in better shape than other Russian units.

I believe elements from the VDV's 31st Air Assault Brigade were moved to the Bakhmut area from the Svatove-Kreminna line over the past couple of weeks. 3/

@DrPaulyDeSantis @Havoc_Six @KofmanMichael Prigozhin's claim is for the entire battle, the US assessment was from December. Prigozhin has an incentive to lie and inflate Wagner's losses. 4:1 WIA:KIA ratio is not realistic for Wagner in Bakhmut.
