RT @Danspiun: 9-11. 23rd Mechanised Brigade.
I touched on the 21st + 22nd Mech brigades earlier in the thread but failed to mention this new unit, the 23rd.
They have both MaxxPro MRAPs + Soviet-era kit (see twt 10-11).
Note they are training for fortification assault.
Film from before 10/05. https://twitter.com/Danspiun/status/1661421962361438225/video/1

RT @Danspiun: 11. 23rd Mech Brigade.
As well as the M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge in twt 10, other engineering kit the new brigade is training with:
1+2) IMR-2 combat engineering vehicle
3+4) MT-55 armoured bridge launcher
Note: unclear if this kit is organically part of the 23rd or separate. https://twitter.com/Danspiun/status/1661428805704069122/photo/1

@dde4000 Find me that video. No one can have been able to show me that video. And that thing is a camera dome.

@EerikMatero @UAControlMap @kors_nick @GeoConfirmed Must be Kadyrovites flying the drone then.

@KC_Guy Not weird form me regarding 13th Jager + 22nd + 88th Mech, whose formation was announced later than the earlier nine brigades receiving western equipment. They are probably on a different training + formation cycle. But I agree I there is a gap in info on where the 23rd fits in.

@centaurblossom @DefMon3 Sorry - didn't have time to follow🇸🇪kit. I herd somewhere recently they quietly equipped a whole brigade but didn't dig into it. Offensive guards I have no info yet, but bear in mind that most are upscaling of exisiting National Guard units so it's partly rebranding with add-ons.
Dan (Twitter)

@centaurblossom @DefMon3 That is not to denigrate those units. For instance the National Guard 3rd and 4th operational brigades now relabeled as offensive guards units appear to have particularly performed consistently well in a number of different battles throughout the war.

A fire broke out on one of the balconies in the building of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow tonight, according to local emergency services.

The reason is yet unknown.

@DavidDo27585988 @centaurblossom @DefMon3 Agreed. Clarification.
1/2.
The original well known Azov Brigade (pre- a battalion on 2014, then a regiment) largely destroyed at Mariupol was in the National Guard. It is now being reportedly reformed under the Offensive Guard.

@DavidDo27585988 @centaurblossom @DefMon3 2/3. 3rd Assault Bde was formed in autumn 22 under the army command and included an existing 'Azov' Territorial defence battalion which then became a SOF unit. Volunteers also joined. It declares to have 'the same principles as the legendary "Azov" and the entire Azov movement'.
Dan (Twitter)

@DavidDo27585988 @centaurblossom @DefMon3 3/3. To confuse things the the National Guard had its own 3rd Operational Brigade (from Kharkiv) which like the Army's 3rd Assault Assault Brigade fought around Bakhmut in the winter and performed well. Over the winter it was renamed the Spartan Brigade under the Offensive Guard.

@e_slovalia Thanks. Some I herd of, but largely new to me. Hopefully, I will add when significant media is released.
