@MNRobards @UkraineRussia2 Ukraine does use fighter jets on the battlefield near the frontline. Especially in North Kherson when Ukraine used HARM to knockout radars and did 30 airstrikes a day. The reason why Ukraine🇺🇦 could get A-10s is because A-10s will help a lot with air strikes and using Smart Bombs

@GleepW @UkraineRussia2 I am talking about five years or maybe even more than a decade. If the war is over and Ukraine🇺🇦 already knows how to fly F-16s and F-15s well, then F-35s maybe on the table. F-35s are given to many NATO countries and Non-NATO countries. And Ukraine’s military is very experienced

@rltone22 Yes true, but it depends on how early a missile is detected. It’s unrealistic for an Iron Dome missile flying at 2.2 mach to be intercepting a ballistic missile at +6 mach

Theoretically it maybe possible but realistically it is not. Iron Dome is not built for that but Patriot is

@david_lisovtsev It’s completely unrealistic. Ballistic Missiles should be intercepted at much higher altitudes. Iron Dome won’t be effective maybe it’s can shoot it down 1% of the time but the other 99% it’s not. Not only that, Iron Dome needs a large warhead to fully destroy a ballistic missile

@david_lisovtsev It needs a lot bigger warhead, possibly have blast fragmentation, be able to intercept above 10km, detect the very launch early, have quick maneuverability, and be a significantly faster interceptor.
I guess you could intercept a ballistic missile with a rock but it’s unrealistic

@david_lisovtsev THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) intercepts at altitudes of tens thousands of meters not under 10,000 meters. THAAD flies at 8.2 mach and even that system had to be developed for decades before it could successfully intercept ballistic missiles in their terminal phase.
