Software Giant Microsoft Launches Decentralized Identity Platform on Bitcoin Blockchain.

Popular computer software giant, Microsoft plans to launch its own decentralized identity platform, tagged ION, built on Bitcoin’s blockchain.

ION is built to “help develop and advance decentralized identity” which will create multiple business opportunities according to Microsoft.

ION has been under the works for four years.

Microsoft is collaborating with several companies to set up more nodes after deploying its first Node.

Microsoft Using Bitcoin To Allow People Protect Their Digital Identity.

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor has released Microsoft's plan to build a project that will assist average people protect their digital identity using Bitcoin.

Microsoft is working on ION project that builds Decentralised Identifiers (DIDs) which will give people the right to own and protect their privacy on the Internet.

All these are to be built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain, where people will have a secured cloud space to store all elements of their digital identity.

HUGE NEWS video game publisher Activision Blizzard are to set to be acquired by Microsoft, owners of Xbox. The deal will reportedly be worth $68.7 billion dollars.

Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, says the deal "will play a key role in the development of metaverse platforms"

It's Microsoft's biggest push into gaming, and largest acquisition in company history. The company says they will become the "third-largest gaming company by revenue, behind Tencent and Sony" once the deal closes.

"Upon close, we will offer as many Activision Blizzard games as we can within Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both new titles and games from Activision Blizzard's incredible catalog," says Microsoft's CEO of gaming Phil Spencer.
