eBay Considers Adding Crypto Payment Options and Selling Platform For NFTs.

eBay, one of the world’s biggest e-commerce store having a yearly revenue of more than $10 billion, is considering adding Cryptocurrencies as payment option, including NFTs sales on eBay platforms.

eBay’s CEO Jamie Iannone made this known in CNBC interview and said this would help place the Ethereum blockchain within the eBay platform.

This moves comes after PayPal added bitcoin as a payment option.

Ebay has enabled sales of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to its 187 million buyers on its platform, according to the company’s recent announcement.

The E-commerce giant said this is only the beginning and will help the company know what their community prefers.

Ebay also updated its policy to include the sale of NFTs.

Additionally soon NFT inventory will be provided by trusted sellers who meet eBay’s high standards.

Tech giant Amazon seeks to gain depth into the digital currency and blockchain development and as such is set to hire a digital currency and blockchain product lead, who will oversee company’s strategy of digital currency and blockchain together with product plan of action.

Qualifications includes a wide understanding of the digital currency and cryptocurrency ecosystems and technologies.

This indicates a growing interest in digital currency from Amazon.

Report: Amazon Will Start Accepting Bitcoin Payment By The End Of 2021.

An anonymous source within Amazon has reportedly told London business newspaper City A.M. that the e-commerce giant is planning to accept Bitcoin (BTC) payments by the end of 2021, possibly setting the stage for broader mainstream acceptance of crypto transactions.

She indicated that, while Bitcoin is the first step in Amazon’s crypto ambitions, executives at the company were keen to add other established cryptocurrencies in the future
