RT @bobbyclee: Philosophical question: If it weren’t for the #debasement of money (increasing money supply, over-printing, etc), would prices for everyday goods & services increase over time? In other words is #inflation natural & necessary if central banks didn’t have unchecked money printing?

Money today has mandatory built-in #inflation (from over-printing): if #Euro has a 2% inflation target, it means it has already lost over 30% of its value! (since its creation in 2000) -Why’s this inflation necessary? -Does it really spur economic activity? -How has Europe fared?

RT @winklevoss: A General Store was once called a nickel store. Over time, it became called a five-and-dime store (all items priced at either 5 or 10 cents). Today, it's called a dollar store. Soon, it will be called a ten dollar store. #Inflation #Bitcoin

Possibly a stretch, but this is what happens when all “stuff” is monetized: people chose bland, neutral colors for their cars and home interiors because they buy them with a possible resale in mind. #inflation https://t.co/fv5tIcfbFg

Makes me wonder, was Germany always more vulnerable to economic shocks compared to other countries in Western Europe? E.g. lower fossil fuel availability. Could partly explain its capitulation to populism in the 30s. https://t.co/46UFj35eOn

When a hollow tree falls over, did the breeze cause the fall? Lumber price spike 👉 Covid 🌬 General shortages 👉 distro probs 🌬 Energy price crisis 👉 Russia 🌬 Et cetera… The deeper, underlying cause of #inflation is resource misallocation due to monetary expansion. ⚖️💸 https://t.co/0CGWmdTs9A
