🚀 Celestia Announces Shwap Upgrade to Enhance Data Availability Network

According to BlockBeats, on October 15, Celestia announced via social media that its data availability (DA) network is set to undergo its first upgrade, named Shwap. This upgrade has already been activated on the Arabica and Mocha testnets through celestia-node v0.18.2. Shwap significantly increases DA sampling speed by 12 times and reduces storage requirements by 16.5 times, enabling support for larger blocks and smaller nodes.

Shwap enhances data availability (DA) throughput while maintaining low requirements for light nodes. The high throughput of DA not only accelerates existing crypto applications but also supports new applications using any virtual machine (VM). The reduced node requirements allow anyone to run light nodes in browsers or wallets, facilitating truly verifiable network applications. Following further testing, Shwap is expected to enter the mainnet Beta phase in November.

🚀 Super Bitcoin White Paper Released By BEVM Team

According to BlockBeats, on October 22, the Bitcoin ecosystem startup team BEVM (Bitcoin-Enhanced Virtual Machine) released the Super Bitcoin technical framework white paper. The white paper outlines plans to integrate Bitcoin's native technologies, such as the Lightning Network and Taproot Consensus, to create a value internet that shares Bitcoin's consensus security.

The white paper elaborates on the five-layer technical architecture of Super Bitcoin, emphasizing the use of a unique chain-like Lightning Network node. This approach allows Bitcoin to enter the expansion layer without cross-chain transactions and user self-custody. Through the BEVM-Stack, Bitcoin's consensus security is shared with the Lightning Chain, which supports various mainstream virtual machines. This enables unlimited expansion of Bitcoin while maintaining shared consensus security.

The BEVM team has been exploring Bitcoin technology for eight years. A few months ago, they completed a multi-million dollar funding round, including investments from Bitmain and other institutions, bringing their post-investment valuation to $200 million.

🚀 Ton Development Team Fixes Critical Vulnerabilities In Virtual Machine

According to BlockBeats, on November 1, the official development team of Ton has recently addressed two critical vulnerabilities in the TON virtual machine. One of these vulnerabilities could have been exploited by malicious contracts, potentially causing an abnormal crash of the virtual machine and affecting the network's stability. The development team has adjusted the internal processing method of the virtual machine in the latest Github release to prevent such attacks from occurring.

🚀 Debate Over Blockchain Migration Sparks Discussion Among Developers

According to Odaily, Nick Tomaino, founder of 1confirmation, recently shared his thoughts on X regarding the trend of projects switching between Ethereum and Solana. Tomaino described this as a psychological tactic that can serve as a marketing gimmick. He emphasized that serious application developers are not concerned with which blockchain they use; their primary focus is on creating products that people will use. He suggested that if a product gains traction, developers will eventually launch an application-specific chain. Tomaino urged developers to avoid getting caught up in these transitional phases.

In response, Solana co-founder Toly commented that every application chain will eventually introduce a universal virtual machine to attract its own applications. This exchange highlights ongoing discussions within the blockchain community about the strategic decisions behind choosing specific platforms for development.

🚀 Eclipse Faces Accusations of Plagiarism Over GSVM Documentation

According to Odaily, Eclipse recently released documentation for its SVM client, Giga Scale Virtual Machine (GSVM). Solayer's core developer, Chaofan Shou, criticized Eclipse, accusing them of plagiarism. Shou stated that the GSVM proposal shares the same ideas and a similar demonstration process with a technical plan previously released by Solayer. However, Solayer has demonstrated that this plan is ineffective in a real-world operational environment.

🚀 StarkWare CEO Supports New Ethereum Virtual Machine Proposal

According to Foresight News, StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson has expressed support for the proposal to add a new virtual machine to Ethereum. However, he disagrees with adopting the RISC-V architecture. Ben-Sasson suggests considering virtual machine solutions specifically designed for blockchain and zkSTARK, such as Cairo, Valida, Miden, or Zisc, or developing an entirely new virtual machine.

🚀 TRON Community Discusses Mainnet Upgrade Proposal

According to Odaily, the TRON community is currently discussing a proposal for the mainnet 4.8.0 version upgrade. This update aims to support the Ethereum Cancun upgrade and optimize the consensus layer verification mechanism. Based on the core developers' meeting resolution, the proposal is expected to enter the voting process on June 23, 2025, at UTC+8. Once enacted, the TRON mainnet will activate new virtual machine instructions to ensure compatibility with the Ethereum Cancun upgrade and introduce a new consensus layer verification mechanism, enhancing the consistency and effectiveness of transaction execution. The discussion remains open, allowing users to participate in the process.
