According to Foresight News, Karate Combat, a prominent karate league brand, is set to launch a new Hedera Layer 2 network named UP in the first quarter of 2025. This initiative will enable the league to license its 'Up Only Gaming' technology stack to other sports projects, leagues, and even meme coins. The co-founder of Karate Combat mentioned that currently, there are 20 to 30 projects slated to launch on this upcoming Layer 2 network.
The UP network plans to introduce a token next year, with a portion of its total supply allocated to a grant program aimed at supporting early network builders.
