🚀 Mina Partners With Mirae Asset Financial Group For Enhanced Privacy STO Solutions

According to Foresight News, Mina has entered into a partnership with investment firm Mirae Asset Financial Group. The collaboration between Mina Foundation and Mirae Asset Financial Group aims to develop privacy-enhanced Security Token Offering (STO) solutions on the Mina blockchain using zero-knowledge proofs. This initiative is designed to promote the adoption of real-world assets (RWA) in the blockchain space.

The system comprises two main components. The first component involves preprocessing security tokens stored on a private ledger using ZK Rollup technology and exporting selected data to a public blockchain. The second component, zkApp, calculates the commitments of the STO and allows users to create privacy-enhanced proofs. This dual approach aims to ensure both the security and privacy of the transactions, thereby fostering greater trust and adoption of blockchain-based asset management solutions.

🚀 Mizuho Securities Partners With Blue Sky Solar For Tokenized Infrastructure Fund

According to PANews, Mizuho Securities in Japan has collaborated with Blue Sky Solar to fund solar energy projects through a private security token offering (STO). While institutional issuance of security tokens is common in Japan, it primarily involves real estate tokens and a few digital bonds. Mizuho claims this is Japan's first tokenized infrastructure private fund.

The tokenization is linked to the revenue of a limited liability company (LLC) that has acquired eight solar power facilities, generating 9.5 megawatts of electricity, enough to supply approximately 9,000 households. Blue Sky Group has a long-standing history in this sector, having managed 376 projects with a total generation capacity of 318 megawatts.

Japan's adoption of tokenization aims to reduce management and costs, but the investment structure involves two entities. Blue Sky Asset Management oversees the LLC's assets, while token equity is invested through a limited partnership. Mizuho notes that tokens can only be transferred upon the request of token holders and approval from the token issuer.

The issuance utilized the iBet for Fin tokenization platform developed by BOOSTRY, founded by Nomura Securities. This platform is Japan's second most popular digital securities blockchain network, with Progmat being the leader. Ironically, Mizuho's parent company is an investor in Progmat. A year ago, iBet for Fin was used for another sustainable token issuance, a green bond issued by Hitachi.

🚀 South Korea's FSC to Decide on STO Exchange Approvals

South Korea's Financial Services Commission (FSC) is poised to make a significant decision regarding the preliminary approval of over-the-counter security token offering (STO) exchanges. According to NS3.AI, this decision may exclude Lucentblock, a startup focused on real estate fractional investment, which has been operating under a regulatory sandbox for seven years. Two consortiums, led by Korea Exchange and Nextrade, have been shortlisted for approval. If the FSC confirms these selections, Lucentblock will be excluded from the STO exchange ecosystem.
