According to NS3.AI, this has necessitated ongoing improvements in the Initial Block Download (IBD) performance of Bitcoin Core. A recent update, PR #30039, has achieved approximately a 30% speedup in IBD by increasing the maximum file size in LevelDB.
Additionally, a SwiftSync prototype demonstrated impressive results by completing a -reindex-chainstate for 888,888 blocks in just 3 hours and 14 minutes on an underclocked Raspberry Pi 5.
