💰 The CNRS CMB Computational Social Science Team based in Berlin will be recruiting several doctoral students (3-year contract) and post-doctoral researchers (up to 3 years) in the coming academic year 2019-20 (targeting a total of about 4-5 positions), to work principally under the ERC Consolidator grant “Socsemics” on internet echo chambers and polarization. These offers take place in an interdisciplinary context and touch a variety of domains, including computational social science, political science, NLP, information visualization, sociology of the internet, social network analysis and complex network modeling.

Detailed job offers for ERC Socsemics may be found here: http://cmb.huma-num.fr/job-offers with a deadline for application set at Sept 30th, 2019.

The team presentation is available either as a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idmreTQzeg0 or as a website http://cmb.huma-num.fr, while the "Socsemics" ERC project has its own website https://socsemics.huma-num.fr

Extensive information on the scientific content and context are available in the above-mentioned job offers – interested applicants may nonetheless feel free to contact Camille Roth <roth@cmb.hu-berlin.de> to discuss this further.

A further forthcoming ANR grant called “Records” on the effect of algorithms on music listening practices will enable the recruitment of one doctoral student (most likely in computer science) over the course of the year: the corrresponding offer should be published before winter 2020, to aim for a recruitment by summer 2020 – prospective applicants may nonetheless already get in touch.
