Сооснователь компании Blockstream и известный биткоин-разработчик Марк Фриденбах представил решение для масштабирования первой криптовалюты Forward Blocks. По его словам, для увеличения размера блока или перехода на альтернативный PoW-алгоритм больше не нужно осуществлять хардфорки.
Фриденбах подчеркнул, что новое решение позволит усилить устойчивость биткоина перед цензурой посредством шардинга. При этом он добавил, что позаимствовал сам термин из сферы баз данных и не имеет в виду технологию Ethereum.
Новый механизм комбинирует различные подходы к проведению форков и, убежден сооснователь Blockstream, нивелирует недостатки каждого за счет преимуществ других.

Co-founder of Blockstream and well-known Bitcoin developer Mark Friedenbach presented a solution for scaling the first cryptocurrency Forward Blocks. According to him, to increase the block size or switch to an alternative PoW-algorithm, you no longer need to perform hard forks.
Friedenbach stressed that the new solution will enhance Bitcoin's resilience in front of censorship through sharding. At the same time, he added that he borrowed the term from the scope of databases and does not mean technology Ethereum.
