The administration of the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange at the end of last week announced the next update of the platform software, but did not rule out the postponement of the technical works.
A company statement on Twitter, citing the press service of the trading platform, said that the update will take place on June 26th. For seven hours, the platform will be offline. This procedure is aimed at improving the quality of the system and the integration of new options.
Eth The Ethinex site, which is part of Bitfinex, will also stop servicing traders for the duration of the update. The Bitfinex administration conducted a similar procedure in May.
Then the platform also suspended the service of traders. At that time, operations to withdraw funds, replenish deposits and trade in digital assets were prohibited.
The May update lasted about eight hours, so the developers say that the next software improvement will take about the same time.
