🔺“Комиссия считает целесообразным назначить более длительный период, в течение которого будет вынесен приказ, одобряющий или отклоняющий предлагаемое изменение правила, чтобы у нее было достаточно времени для рассмотрения этого предлагаемого изменения правила”, — указала Комиссия в заявлении.
💰Инвестиционная фирма VanEck и блокчейн-компания SolidX подали совместную заявку в SEC на запуск биткоин-ETF в июле этого года. Многие именно ее считали фаворитом в соискании одобрения Комиссии. Позднее в том же месяце заявку на биржевой BTC-фонд подал еще один институциональный игрок — CBOE.
SEC уже откладывала принятие решения по биткоин-фонду VanEck/SolidX, как и по ряду других.
🔽Впрочем, ранее глава BK Capital Management Брайан Келли (Brian Kelly) высказал мнение, что регулятор не примет решения до конца текущего года. Аналитики крупнейшей инвестиционной компании Канады Canaccord Genuity считают, что одобрения SEC биткоин-ETF можно ожидать не ранее конца финансового года — 31 марта. По факту с ними солидарны глава криптостартапа Abra Билл Баргид (Bill Barhydt) и основатель криптовалютного хедж-фонда Pantera Capital Дэн Морхед (Dan Morehead). О том, что не стоит ждать скорого одобрения Комиссией биржевых индексных фондов на основе биткоина, заявил и “Крестный отец ETF” Реджи Браун (Reggie Browne).

The Securities and Exchange Commission has postponed the decision to approve the launch of the VanEck / SolidX exchange investment bitcoin fund (ETF) until February 27, 2019.
🔺 “The Commission considers it appropriate to assign a longer period during which an order will be issued approving or rejecting the proposed rule change so that it has enough time to consider this proposed rule change,” the Commission said in a statement.
💰 Investment firm VanEck and blockchain-company SolidX submitted a joint application to SEC for the launch of Bitcoin-ETF in July of this year. Many of them considered it a favorite in seeking approval from the Commission. Later that month, another institutional player, CBOE, filed an application for the BTC exchange fund.
SEC has already postponed decision-making on the VanEck / SolidX bitcoin fund, as well as on a number of others.
“However, earlier BK Capital Management head Brian Kelly expressed the opinion that the regulator would not make a decision until the end of the current year. Analysts at Canaccord Genuity, the largest investment company in Canada, believe that SEC approval of Bitcoin-ETF can be expected no earlier than the end of the fiscal year - March 31. In fact, the head of Abra cryptostartape, Bill Bargid, and the founder of Pantera Capital hedge fund, Dan Morehead, are in solidarity with them. The fact that we should not wait for the quick approval of the Commission of exchange-traded index funds based on Bitcoin, said the “Godfather of ETF” Reggie Browne.

📌Первое предложение на криптовалютный торгуемый на бирже фонд подала в NYSE Arca компания Bitwise Asset Management. Заявка была внесена в Федеральный реестр 15 февраля, продлив период рассмотрения, регулятор перенес срок принятия решения по ней на 16 мая 2019 года. В опубликованном заявлении SEC сказано, что организация получила 21 комментарий относительно данной заявке и займется их проработкой.
🔽Комиссия также рассматривает предложение компаний VanEck и SolidX, которые хотят запустить биткоин-ETF на Чикагской бирже опционов (CBOE). Первоначально эта заявка была направлена регулятору почти год назад, но после затягивания решения в период закрытия правительства она была отозвана, чтобы избежать автоматического отклонения. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed the decision on two applications to launch Bitcoin-ETF for another 45 days.
The first bid for a cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund was submitted to NYSE Arca by Bitwise Asset Management. The application was entered in the Federal Register on February 15, extending the review period, the regulator postponed the decision making on it to May 16, 2019. In a published statement, the SEC said that the organization received 21 comments regarding this application and will work on their study.
🔽The Commission is also considering a proposal from VanEck and SolidX companies that want to launch Bitcoin-ETF on the Chicago Stock Exchange (CBOE). Initially, this application was sent to the regulator almost a year ago, but after delaying the decision during the government's closing period, it was withdrawn to avoid automatic rejection. It was re-submitted on February 20, respectively, now the SEC has extended the review period until May 21.
Despite this transfer, the regulation allows the regulator to delay the process up to 240 days, as was the case last year.

Вчера истек максимальный срок ответа, но SEC США воспользовалась последней отсрочкой в 60 дней, после которой обязана выдать разрешение или запретить выход Bitcoin ETF на фондовый рынок.
☝️Всего на рассмотрении регулятора находится около 18-ти таких обращений, но первое решение станет прецедентом и общим поводом для отказа. Повторится ситуация 2019-го года, когда комиссары SEC США посчитали рынок волатильным, а криптовалюту недостаточно ликвидной, чтобы избежать возможностей манипуляции котировками.
