📌Президент Николас Мадуро заявил, что в первую очередь, Каракас хочет расширить применение национальной криптовалюты Petro.
Помимо Petro правительство при необходимости может задействовать и другие цифровые валюты. Соответствующий законопроект уже разработали в кабмине латиноамериканского государства.

Законопроект должен стимулировать использование Petro и других криптовалют во внутренней и внешней торговле.
С помощью такого инструмента Каракас рассчитывает обходить американские санкции, которые давят на финансовый сектор Венесуэлы. Документ будет принят после его утверждения Конституционной ассамблеей, созванной в 2017 году по инициативе Николаса Мадуро.
Напомним, размещение токенов Petro началось в феврале 2018 года. Власти Венесуэлы сразу же заявили, что криптовалюта будет обеспечена нефтью, добываемой в стране. Цена одной монеты привязана к стоимости барреля "черного золота".

Venezuela decided to finance foreign trade operations in cryptocurrency.
📌President Nicolas Maduro said that, first of all, Caracas wants to expand the use of the national cryptocurrency Petro.
In addition to Petro, the government can use other digital currencies if necessary. The corresponding bill has already been developed in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Latin American state.

The bill should encourage the use of Petro and other cryptocurrencies in domestic and foreign trade.
With the help of such an instrument, Caracas expects to bypass the American sanctions, which are putting pressure on the Venezuelan financial sector. The document will be adopted after its approval by the Constitutional Assembly, convened in 2017 on the initiative of Nicolas Maduro.
As a reminder, the placement of Petro tokens began in February 2018. Venezuelan authorities immediately announced that the cryptocurrency would be backed by oil produced in the country. The price of one coin is tied to the price of a barrel of "black gold".
