Судя по статистике сервиса YCharts, после слияния Эфириума и перехода на алгоритм консенсуса Proof-of-Stake среднее время производства блока в сети второй по капитализации криптовалюты снизилось до 12.11 секунд.
☝️Многие ожидали, что после перехода на PoS Эфириум станет гораздо более быстрым блокчейном, что позволит значительно снизить комиссии за транзакции. Само по себе слияние не сделало Эфириум сильно быстрее ― для этого в будущем планируется внедрить технологии вроде шардинга. Тем не менее, среднее время производства блоков все же снизилось.
Если до перехода на PoS в среднем за сутки производилось около 6 000 блоков, то после слияния количество увеличилось на 18% ― до 7 100 блоков в сутки. Соответственно, снизилось и среднее время добычи блока ― с 14 секунд до 12.11 секунд. Блоки начали производиться чаще на 13%.
▪️После перехода Эфириума на Proof-of-Stake значительно снизились цены на рынке видеоускорителей. Так, если до слияния стоимость Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 в Китае превышала $1 100, то сейчас цены снизились до $700. Связано это с тем, что добывать ETH с помощью видеокарт стало попросту невозможно.

Judging by the statistics of the YCharts service, after the merger of Ethereum and the transition to the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm, the average block production time in the network of the second largest cryptocurrency by capitalization decreased to 12.11 seconds.
☝️Many expected that after the transition to PoS, Ethereum would become a much faster blockchain, which would significantly reduce transaction fees. The merger itself did not make Ethereum much faster - for this, technologies like sharding are planned to be introduced in the future. However, the average block production time still decreased.
If before the transition to PoS, about 6,000 blocks were produced per day on average, then after the merger, the number increased by 18% - up to 7,100 blocks per day. Accordingly, the average block mining time has also decreased - from 14 seconds to 12.11 seconds. Blocks began to be produced more often by 13%.
