Как уточняет агентство Reuters, с помощью токена Центробанк страны рассчитывает ускорить обработку внутренних и внешних операций. Кроме этого, появление инновационного инструмента создаст условия для повышения доступности финансовых услуг для населения и бизнеса.
🔺Глава Банка Индонезии Перри Варджио заявил на пресс-конференции, что CBDC появится на рынке в виде так называемой цифровой рупии. Этот токен станет таким же платежным инструментом, как и фиатные деньги.
Однако пока ЦБ не стал называть даже примерные сроки тестирования и полноценного внедрения цифровой валюты. Регулятор пока планирует только сформировать график работы по созданию CBDC.

Indonesia has joined the countries wishing to launch a national digital currency (CBDC).
According to Reuters, with the help of the token, the country's Central Bank expects to speed up the processing of internal and external transactions. In addition, the emergence of an innovative tool will create conditions for increasing the availability of financial services for the population and business.
The head of the Bank of Indonesia, Perry Wargio, said at a press conference that CBDC will appear on the market in the form of the so-called digital rupee. This token will become the same payment instrument as fiat money.
However, so far the Central Bank has not even announced the approximate timing of testing and full implementation of the digital currency. So far, the regulator only plans to form a schedule for the creation of CBDC.
