Разработчики клиента Prysm переходной PoS-сети Beacon Chain, нулевой фазы Ethereum 2.0, сообщили про двухчасовых «простой нод». На протяжении 18-ти эпох, узлы не могли генерировать блоки, а более 50% валидаторов оказались вне блокчейна.
Проблемы клиента Prysm не повлияли на общую работу Beacon Chain, блоки собирались нодами под управлением клиентов других разработчиков.
Команда Prysmatic Labs сталкивалась с подобным багов в начале января, но тогда событие было признано случайной аномалией. Разработчики полагают, что проблема сбоя состоит в неправильном определении размера депозита валидатора клиентом Prysm, размещаемого в качестве доказательства ставки.
📌В настоящий момент программа работает стабильно, команда готовится выпустить обновление с исправлением бага, а позже выйдет полный отчет по обнаруженной проблеме.

The developers of the Prysm client of the Beacon Chain PoS Transition Network, Ethereum 2.0 Phase 0, have reported a two-hour “idle node”. For 18 epochs, nodes could not generate blocks, and more than 50% of validators ended up outside the blockchain.
The problems of the Prysm client did not affect the overall operation of the Beacon Chain, the blocks were assembled by nodes under the control of clients of other developers.
The Prysmatic Labs team encountered similar bugs in early January, but then the event was declared a random anomaly. The developers believe that the problem with the failure lies in the incorrect determination of the size of the validator's deposit by the Prysm client, which is placed as proof of the bet.
📌Currently, the program is working stably, the team is preparing to release an update with a bug fix, and later a full report on the problem will be released.
🔺Developers claim that node owners who lose connection with the blockchain will not receive fines. The PoS algorithm assigns them only for malicious actions that are not related to this technological failure.
