Французский разработчик – не новичок в сфере игр на блокчейне. Ранее Ubisoft финансировал и поддерживал несколько проектов в этой сфере, одним из которых стал REVV Motosports компании Animoca. Это экосистема из нескольких игр с поддержкой токена REVV.

Как отметил генеральный директор компании Ив Гиймо (Ives Guillemot), игры на блокчейне должны «органично» вписаться в портфолио Ubisoft. Финансовый директор Ubisoft Фредерик Дюге (Frederick Duguet) всецело поддерживает идею. По его словам, партнерство с такими компаниями, как Animoca, дало Ubisoft хорошее понимание того, как блокчейн может повлиять на индустрию видеоигр. Именно Ubisoft «должна стать одним из ключевых игроков в этой сфере».
