🔺По словам разработчиков Filecoin из Protocol Labs, полноценный запуск проекта должен состояться уже этим летом. Сеть должна защитить пользователей от риска возникновения единой точки отказа при хранении данных – c помощью децентрализованной сети данные будут доступны всегда.
В рамках финального этапа тестирования разработчики планируют проверить, насколько стабильна инфраструктура, и какого объема хранения сможет добиться сеть. Для этого планируется выделить токены 100 участникам со всего мира, предоставившим наибольший объем данных. Также токены получат по 50 участников с каждого континента.

По его словам, проект предназначен для хранения публичных данных, вроде фотографий и видео, которыми пользователи собираются делиться друг с другом. Если кто-то захочет хранить частную информацию, то перед помещением в хранилище ее лучше зашифровать.
