Согласно местным законам, предоставлять подобные сервисы могут только компании, зарегистрированные в установленном законом порядке.
✅Для получения лицензии LocalBitcoins пришлось доказать регулятору, что она внедрила надлежащие меры противодействия отмыванию денег и идентификации клиентов, а также защиты клиентских активов. В числе прочего учитывались способности руководства компании исполнять возложенные на него задачи.

Ранее было отмечено, что клиенты стали меньше пользоваться сервисами пиринговой биржи после вступления в силу новых требований к идентификации их личностей. The Finnish Financial Services Authority has licensed a virtual currency service provider LocalBitcoins, a peer-to-peer platform for exchanging bitcoins for traditional currencies, reports Cointelegraph. According to local laws, only companies registered in accordance with the law can provide such services.
✅In order to obtain a license, LocalBitcoins had to prove to the regulator that it had implemented appropriate measures to combat money laundering and customer identification, as well as the protection of client assets. Among other things, the ability of the company's management to carry out the tasks assigned to it was taken into account.
🔺 “A well-functioning society has formed in Finland, where a high level of trust is maintained. At the same time, high-quality regulation of the financial sector is being introduced here, and the positions of customers are adequately protected, ”said CEO Sebastian Sonntag.
❗️ Simultaneously, the choice of LocalBitcoins in favor of an adjustable path has led to the loss of popularity of the trading platform. It was previously noted that customers began to use peer-to-peer exchange services less after the entry into force of new requirements for the identification of their identities. This, however, did not stop LocalBitcoins from recently updating its own trading volume record in Argentina and Venezuela.
