So a little announcement for the wallpaper makers, If you are making walls then please try to make it in high res and we require atleast -
W: 1152px | H: 2048px walls.

October Security Patch has been merged in our Nougat source.
If maintainers want, they can release the Nougat build with October patch for their respective devices. There is no update in the AOSP tags so there is no official release from our side. AospExtended 4.6 will be the final Nougat version.

October patch has been merged in our Oreo source as well.

This is just the start and we are looking forward to make the user experience more better. The announcement however is not just up to that but also we will come up some new & interesting things.

And again guys, we don't want you to keep waiting either but the official release will come when the time is right. So it's better to wait as good things will always take time. So please don't ask for ETAs.

We are thankful to the android community and all the user support we have have got over the years. With more than 5 years, the future still looks overwhelming to us and we are grateful for the constant support!

Hey guys, we hope you all are doing great and are safe. We have got some sad news to share with everyone.

Yesterday, due to hardware failure of our server, we have lost all of our builds and data related to installation statistics, maintainers, devices and our website. It was an unforeseen event and recovery is impossible.

With Android twelve, we will have to start out fresh from the scratch. We are looking forward to deal with the current issue, things keep happening in our lives and we learn from them. To fix all of this would take some time and we apologize for the issues caused.

Greetings everyone,

When we started the AospExtended a.k.a AEX project, we aimed to build and share a ROM with everyone that included the needed features and apps we all wanted. Like any FOSS project, maintaining AEX took time and financial commitment from the core developers. The team consisted of young developers that had both. Over the years, everyone in the group progressed in their life toward their goals. Some became professional developers, some started universities, and some just got important personal life commitments.

While we all are thrilled with the personal development of our team members, this brought a significant issue among us: none of us could commit ourselves to the project due to time constraints. After discussing this issue internally, we have reached a mutual decision.

With a heavy heart, we are announcing today that the AospExtended project is going on an indefinite hiatus.

We are grateful for the love the community has shown us over all these years and would like to thank everyone who has been part of the journey till now.
