🚨NEW: A new USPS Inspector General audit found some Postal Service locations failed to properly handle mail-in ballots during this year’s primary elections.

The audit cited inadequate staff training, ballot-tracking deficiencies, and errors that caused delays — potentially putting ballots at risk of being incorrectly postmarked or arriving too late to be counted.

The findings come as the Supreme Court considers the Trump administration’s election-related USPS rules.

The video, a little more than two minutes, shows the dramatic rescue of a 15-year-old boy from Savoonga who had been fishing for halibut along with his cousin and brother when their small skiff overturned near St. Lawrence Island.

The teen can be seen kneeling on an overturned skiff in extremely frigid water.

“Through the teeth shattering, he had mentioned that his brother was still under the skiff and then he said that in the previous night before our rescue that his cousin had slipped away off the top of the skiff,” White recalled.

Family members told Alaska’s News Source the teen tried to hold onto boat after the other two drowned.

His mother said that her youngest son was the only survivor, and that he held on for days without food or water.

CNN reports that the U.S. has expanded intelligence and targeting support specifically for Saudi Arabia’s military campaign against the Iranian backed Houthis in Yemen. More than 100 U.S. military personnel are reportedly dedicated to that effort, with one U.S. official putting the number at roughly 200, operating as part of a newly established joint forces command.

The U.S. is providing intelligence sharing and geospatial targeting support, including a battlefield tool that gives Saudi officers a near real time picture of the battlespace. However, U.S. personnel are not directly participating in Saudi strikes, refueling Saudi aircraft or providing other operational support. Sources characterized the effort as an extension of existing U.S.-Saudi cooperation and training.

The expanded support comes as Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia intensify, with U.S. officials saying Iran is providing substantial support to the group. CNN reports that U.S. officials believe hundreds of IRGC personnel are currently in Yemen and are helping the Houthis develop the capability to threaten the Bab el-Mandab Strait.
