Tyler Jaggers, an aviation survival technician assigned to Air Station Astoria, Oregon, passed away yesterday, as a result of critical injuries sustained during a February 27 medical evacuation mission which was offshore from Cape Flattery, Washington.
Prior to Tyler Jaggers passing, surrounded by his parents, sister, fiance, friends, and USCG temamates, Jaggers was meritoriously advanced to Petty Officer Second Class and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross—one of the highest military awards for heroism during aerial flight.
We are grateful for his faithful service.
