The 52nd edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair opened its doors to the public today.
Being held from 1st to 9th February, the theme this year is ‘Republic@75’, celebrating India’s journey.
Organised by the National Book Trust of India (Ministry of Education) with co-organisers, ITPO (Ministry of Industry & Commerce), the fair features over 2000 stalls from 50 nations, covering books in both regional and foreign languages.
With the Honourable President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurating the fair, it is set to bring together bibliophiles, authors & artists from different genres, all showcasing their love for literature.

With ‘Republic@75’ as the theme of the fair, the event brought together leading voices from fields including literature, art, cinema & more.
Apart from featuring books from across the region, a number of activities promoting children’s literature were organized at the ‘Children’s Pavilion’.
The fest also has a ‘Yuva corner’ promoting young authors, a ‘theme pavilion’ showcasing the theme of the festival with graphics, books, etc., an 'International Events Corner' & 'Authors' Corner' for book launches & panel discussions.
Many cultural programmes showcasing different regional cultures & traditions captivated the visitors.

At the authors' corner, a number of books were released on topics like mythology, meditation, & more.
The day kept buzzing with cultural events, including dance competitions, a poetry evening & a performance by the ‘Swatantra Band’.
VisionIAS made its presence felt as many UPSC aspirants were seen exploring the resources like the monthly magazine, subject specific materials & more.
