ℹ️It’s not all about printingℹ️

📌Surly, printing is a huge part. However, making parts like our bottles requires a lot of side business as well.

1️⃣ordering material
Printers do not run without material. You have to search the internet for the best deals around. Sometimes it’s Amazon, sometimes Aliexpress, Temu or direct orders. With every order we buy at least 30-50kg of material. Depending on how many donations we get per week.

2️⃣ loading and monitoring
Yes, the printers can print for 12 or more hours without human intervention. But what happens when they run out of material? Then a new filament spool has to be inserted. What if something unusual happens? Then quick action is required. For this reason, you cannot operate the printers without monitoring them.

3️⃣ maintenance
This is a big one. Maintenance is one of the most important parts of this factory. The printers are printing nearly 24/7 and the wear is huge! You can take a closer look at the one picture shared above. These are the gears of the extruder after 3000h of printing and must be replaced. Otherwise the possibility of a catastrophic failure is increasing.

4️⃣ transportation and logistics
After printing our items, they must be packed in boxes and go on the journey to Ukraine. Due to security reasons, nobody knows the exact route they take. It goes through several trustful hands until they got delivered. All we can say is that each box is traveling by train, bus and car. This also must be covered by donations.

5️⃣ preparing
After arriving in Ukraine, each bottle must be prepared. You can find a very good video in this post right here.

🥶The winter is cold, soldiers are exhausted and freezing. Time to send some sweets!
