With this posting, we would like to give you some background information and a short summary about our project.

ℹ️ how everything started.

Our first public appearance took place on the 1st may of 2024. nearly 2 years after the illegal invasion of Ukraine started. And the support is still unbroken!

ℹ️ What are our products?

We do have many different products:

ℹ️ How is this project financed?

It’s a community project! It’s 100% financed through donations you do. We do have more than 150 different supporters who donate sometimes just once or do several donations a month. It all depends on your willingness to support and your available money. We are happy for every single $ you send.

🇺🇦 The history of the 3rd Printing Platoon 🇺🇦

🔻 It all began with a factory in Germany that was already carrying out printing jobs for companies and private individuals on the German market.

🔻 However, as the war escalated, the owner of this factory read in the media that the Ukrainians were looking for volunteers to print special equipment for the Ukrainian military. Well... As a defender of the free world, he was deeply impressed by their creativity and sought a way to help the Ukrainians drive the invaders out of the country.

🔻 He searched Telegram for someone who had contacts in the 3D printing army or the army in general. But many thought he was a fraudster or a Russian agent, so he was banned from several channels, including the pilot channel.

🔻 Fortunately, however, shortly before he was blocked, he met a man who was able to forward his request to someone in the army. His name was Lordi. After a while of back-and-forth correspondence, Jagoda the Admin from the 155 mm chat gave permission to use the channel as a launch pad for this 3D printing project. By this point, six months had already passed since the initial idea was conceived.

🔻 Trust was the most important currency back then. That's why the first delivery only included FPV drone adapters, as you can see in this video above. The proof was provided that words were followed by real actions.

🇺🇦The history of the 3rd Printing Platoon🇺🇦

In the following, you will get a deeper inside view how we built up this great project.

🔻 With growing trust, we also managed to win the trust of an entire brigade. We received new model data and manufactured them on order. As you can see in the video, the commander was extremely satisfied and very happy with this initiative.

🔻 We were asked extremely often why we manufacture in Germany and not in Ukraine. Do you remember that Russia attacked the civilian power supply? Electricity was therefore rationed and many residents of Ukraine only had electricity for 8 hours a day.

🔻 3D printers sometimes require a lot of power and do not work well with an unstable power supply. If there are power fluctuations during production, the printer would stop and everything that was being printed would be ruined. That is why we still manufacture in Germany, where the power supply is stable and no power outages are to be feared.

🔻 Did you know that back then we only had a third of today's capacity? At that time, the monthly target was €1,000 and printing was not yet as efficient. Back then, we could print 500 stabilisers per month. Based on today's capacity and optimisations, that would have been more than 2,000.

ℹ️ Where do we come from?
Initially we came from the 155mm NATO Channel. This is where we started back in May 2024 and we are very thankful for the support we got as we started this project. The initial posting can be found here. You can still search the channel for „xyz“ to get all the information you need.

ℹ️ Why do we have a separate channel now?
We are trying to give you all the needed information in one spot without searching the channel separately. From our point of view, getting all information just by scrolling is better than using the search.

ℹ️ What do you print?
As you already know, we are printing equipment for the military. In this case, it is a so called „bottle“ with a total weight of 300g. However, we also print bigger ones with 500g in total. These bottles will be dropped over the heads of the invaders to stop them from advancing.
Additional to these bottles, we also print parts for the factory itself. They use the parts to build even bigger bottles. The biggest one ever build in this factory is 5000g in total and needs about 10 different parts mounted together.

ℹ️ How many can you produce?
Our goal is to print at least 1000 pieces of the small bottles per month. Or 500 of the bigger brother. The Ukrainians can print ~9units/day which is 270/month. If we run our factory at full capacity, we would be able to print up to 3500 / month. However, this is currently not possible with the income of donations we have. The average is at 1300 / month. It all depends on how much money flows in.

ℹ️ how many drops needed for one Invader?
As you know from the video, a small drone can carry 2 of those. A bigger drone is able to carry 4. For one kill you need about 4 drops and sometimes a 5th to be sure. (Sometimes Russians play dead and aren’t in reality)

ℹ️ What do you get for your money?
With your money, you finance the military directly. To put it bluntly, you are donating money so that, in the end, a Russian invader will no longer be able to move and will remain lying by the wayside.

ℹ️ What will be done with the money?
With the donated money, we buy the material itself, cover the maintenance as well as energy, transportation and logistics and also administrative costs to keep everything running. This leads to the total average costs of ~3€ for the small one and the bigger one is about 5€ each. Stabilisers are about the same range each.

❗️No one in the chain benefits from your donation, except the Ukrainian military!❗️

ℹ️ How much do I have to spend to get at least one stopped forever?
In general you can say that you need 3-4 drops per Russian. This highly depends on the current conditions and a bit of luck. Generally speaking you can stop one invader with a donation of ~20€. Spending 100€ leads to about 5 dead invaders.

ℹ️ Is this cheap or expensive?
Let’s compare the options:
One 155mm shell costs about 2500€ per shot.
An suicide FPV drone with an explosive attached costs about 1000€ and will hit 1 person.
You can decide by yourself if spending 100€ for 5 is cheap or not 😉
