RIP Brigitte Bardot!

She was one of my absolute favorites, always standing up for abused animals and also famous for the protection of baby seals against fur harvesting.

In 1999, she said, "My country, France, my homeland, my land is invaded by an overpopulation of foreigners, especially Muslims."

She was fined 30,000 francs for saying it, which turned out to be true.

RIP, Queen. πŸ˜₯

Actress, singer, animal rights activist, and right-wing figure Brigitte Bardot has passed away at the age of 91.

She frequently spoke out about the Islamization of France and was tried at least 5 times for statements critical of Muslims. She once said, β€œI am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country.”

In 1998, she was convicted for decrying the loss of French identity and traditions due to the β€œmultiplication of mosques while our church bells fall silent for want of priests.”

Bardot was long known for her beauty and acting career, but her clearest legacy was her outspoken recognition of what she saw as the takeover of the West by foreigners and her willingness to voice those grievances.

RIP to a true patriot of the West.

Story time πŸ“šπŸ“–

In 1705, an Irish woman named Margorie McCat was thought to have died of a fever and was hastily buried to prevent contagion. She was interred wearing a valuable ring that her husband John, a physician, could not remove because her swollen finger made it impossible, drawing the attention of grave robbers.

That very night, before the earth had fully settled, body snatchers began digging up the grave. Unable to slip the ring free, they attempted to cut off her finger. When blood flowed, Margorie suddenly revived from a coma, sat upright, and screamed. Accounts differ on the robbers’ fate, though one claims they fled in terror and abandoned their trade.

Margorie climbed out of the grave and walked home. Hearing a knock, John reportedly joked that if his wife were alive, he would swear it was her….

Opening the door to find Margorie in burial clothes, bleeding but alive, he collapsed from shock and died. He was later buried in the grave prepared for her.

Margorie went on to remarry and have several children. When she eventually died years later, she was buried at Shankill Cemetery in Lurgan, Ireland. Her headstone bears the inscription: β€œLived Once, Buried Twice.”
