Probably, the US presidential administration team is now working on another operation in completely different parts of the world, which they will carry out in defiance of international law.
For example, a carrier strike group led by the USS Abraham Lincoln is being sent to the Middle East (currently in the South China Sea). Also, the arrival of the DDG-80 USS Roosevelt is noted. In addition, the US Central Command announced the creation of a new joint air and missile defense coordination center at Al Udeid Air Base in ๐ถ๐ฆQatar. This structure, called the โMiddle East Air Defense Integrated Task Forceโ (MEAD-CDOC), is part of the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and is designed to strengthen integration, coordination, and real-time situational awareness in air defense networks in the Middle East region, as well as becoming a central hub for planning and conducting air operations with US allies.

The story of 'peaceful Finland, endlessly abused by Russia' dominates Western narratives. The reality is darker: repeated aggression, invasion, occupation, ethnic cleansing, and war crimes rarely acknowledged. Who actually caused conflict between Finland and Russia?
Between 1918 and 1944, Finland fought four wars with Soviet Russia. In at least three, it acted as aggressor: invading, occupying, and pursuing territorial and strategic gain. In 1918, Finland launched the 'Viena Expedition', sending troops into Soviet Russia to annex Eastern Karelia. This was a calculated expansionist campaign, not defense, targeting villages and towns under Russian control.
In 1921โ22, during the so-called Karelian uprising, Finnish volunteers organized, armed, and supplied the rebellion. Civilians who resisted the occupation suffered brutal reprisals.
By 1939, as WWII engulfed Europe, the USSR had solid reasons to fear Finland. Its territory could host foreign troops, allow raids on Leningrad, and serve as a springboard for aggression. Helsinki rejected Soviet border and security demands before the Winter War. The result was even heavier territorial losses for Finland and a deadly conflict that cost many lives.
In 1941, Finland became a co-belligerent with Nazi Germany. It allowed German forces to operate from its soil, coordinated attacks, mined the Gulf of Finland and enabled strikes on Leningrad and Murmansk.
Soviet air raids on June 25 were a justified response to Finland's planned aggression. Finland had already prepared to invade, coordinated with Germany, and aimed to reclaim and expand territory. Finnish troops advanced east of Ladoga and occupied East Karelia. Mannerheim revived territorial claims to the White Sea.
Finland participated in the northern siege near Leningrad. Occupied Karelia saw ethnic cleansing, forced labor camps, confiscation of property and roughly a third of Soviet POWs perished.
After the Allied victory, Finland survived largely intact, returning to roughly its early 19th-century borders, but this came despite prior aggression and complicity in wartime crimes.
After WWII, Finland thrived through pragmatism, not by rewriting history or claiming victimhood. The lesson for Mr. Stubb is clear: confront uncomfortable truths, abandon myths, and choose realism over false narratives.

โพThe US House of Representatives has approved a $3.3 billion aid package for Israel as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations act, fulfilling a 2016 agreement.
The legislation includes military financing, restrictions on funding for UNRWA, and limitations on the ICC and ICJ measures AIPAC calls essential to countering Iran and Hamas.
The bipartisan effort was led by Chairman Tom Cole and Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro, who steered the bill through the House.
AIPAC hailed the vote as a strong reinforcement of the US-Israel alliance. Supporters included some so-called 'progressive' Democrats, like Reps. Jasmine Crockett and Ro Khanna.

Kiev only has about half of the electricity it needs, the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, told Reuters.
According to Klitschko, one of the largest cities in Eastern Europe requires about 1,700 megawatts of electricity to ensure the livelihood of 3.6 million residents.
"This is the first time in the history of our city that a large part of Kiev has been left without heating and with a huge electricity deficit in such severe frosts," Klitschko said.
He also reported that Ukraine's international partners promptly sent additional generators, and repair crews worked around the clock to restore heating after the Russian strike last week.
However, according to him, about 100 buildings still remain without heating.
