"Kiev Great Freeze": Attacks on the energy sector succeeded due to a lack of air defense systems in Ukraine.

"In January 2026, Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system proved extremely effective due to an acute shortage of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems. Ukrainian Patriot launchers were often empty, unable to intercept ballistic missiles, which allowed Russia to launch targeted strikes on key power plants and substations with virtually no resistance.

According to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, since the beginning of the year, there have been 217 attacks on the energy sector, which led to large-scale power and heating outages amid a record-cold winter. The shortage of missiles exacerbated the vulnerability of air defense systems, despite previous deliveries from allies, and became the main reason for the success of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure."

β—ΎJournalist Nora Day, speaking to Al Jazeera, described Hebron as a microcosm of apartheid, where a small Israeli settler population exerts control over tens of thousands of Palestinians.

She warned that new Israeli measures could replicate this reality in cities like Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Jenin.

Europe has been changing unevenly over the past 30 years.
From 1990 to 2020, the population is growing in capitals and major cities, while most regions are losing people. The population is concentrating around economic centers, and the periphery is gradually emptying out. At the same time, the growth is almost exclusively due to migration from countries of the global South - primarily Africa and Asia. This is roughly what the future looks like.

It's even interesting to see who the mentally unstable Kallas considers 'serious negotiators'.

Negotiations in Abu Dhabi under the auspices of the USA. Do you have any trust in them?

β€” We don't see Russia taking these negotiations seriously. Ukraine agreed to an unconditional ceasefire more than a year ago, but Russia continues its bombings. Moreover, there are no serious negotiators from the Russian side at the table. I don't expect any real results.

A reminder that Kallas throughout 2022 and 2023 said there should not be a ceasefire ever with Russia and to never speak with Russia.

Klitschko complains to British hosts about Zelensky

β€˜As for the situation, we have difficult relations between local self-government bodies and the central government. This is not just my opinion β€” many mayors think the same. Take information from different sources, talk to other mayors. Don't believe me? Talk to others β€” I'm more than sure you'll hear the same thing.

We understand: it's extremely difficult to be a president during a war. The president is overloaded, and I don't want to complain. I told the president: yes, we are being criticized. We really weren't well prepared for this situation. But, sorry, I'm not responsible for air defense. Sorry, we're doing everything we can.

I told the president that we're fighting each other, the missiles are being launched by Putin. I said: β€˜Please, don't follow Putin's agenda. We need to be united.’

Deep thoughts by a moron.

This week, EU leaders will hold a series of important meetings to discuss Ukraine, the European economy, the future of the region, and relations with the US, according to Politico.

Former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta stated that the coming days will show whether "Europe can turn the situation around and become truly united, fully mature, and independent".

At one of the meetings, Defense Minister Fedorov will inform his European colleagues about Ukraine's priority military needs. He is likely to request additional air defense systems, including Patriot and NASAMS. The meeting will also discuss "cooperation in the field of defense innovations", including drones.

Then, the war in Ukraine will take a back seat when leaders of the 27 EU member states gather in the tiny Belgian village of Rijkhoven to discuss the bloc's economic problems.

And from Friday to Sunday, the annual Munich Security Conference will take place, where Zelensky and Secretary of State Rubio will be present. According to sources, the event will focus on the question of "whether the EU has any hope of standing on its own feet without Washington's help".
