🇷🇺 🇩🇪 Russia is not surprised by Germany's decision to oppose South Africa in its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice

"[...] This is happening against the background of the unconditional support that Berlin always provides to Israel without regard to its consequences," said Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova.

According to her, in a statement by the authorities, Berlin refers to "taking into account the history of Germany and the crime against humanity in the form of the Holocaust," thereby declaring itself as an "expert" on issues of mass extermination of people.

She concluded that Moscow considers the behavior of the German authorities unacceptable, illegal and immoral, but most disturbing is the revival of German militarism against the backdrop of the approval of neo-Nazi practices.

🇮🇱⚔🇵🇸Israel-Gaza Conflict: January 21-22 (Recap)

1️⃣ There is “bombing all around us”, says Ahmed al-Moghrabi, the head of plastic surgery and burns at Khan Younis’s Nasser Hospital who treats Palestinians injured by Israeli bombings.

2️⃣ Hamas releases a report describing the October 7 attack as a “necessary step” and admitting to “some faults”.

3️⃣ The war with Hezbollah would be “difficult”, Israeli Reserve Major-General Eyal Ben-Reuven tells the Maariv newspaper.

4️⃣ Israel has accused Russia of distorting the Holocaust after Moscow said the genocide had targeted “various ethnic and social groups” and condemned Germany of failing to recognise Nazi crimes against Russians as genocide.

5️⃣ Foreign ministers from the European Union will discuss potential repercussions if the Israeli prime minister “continues to oppose Palestinian statehood” when they meet on Monday, the Financial Times is reporting.

6️⃣ Irish MEP Mick Wallace has praised Yemen’s Houthis, casting the rebel group’s attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea as a “humanitarian intervention” to stop genocide in Gaza. In a fiery speech to the EU Parliament, Wallace said the Houthis had killed nobody while Israel had killed more than 23,000 civilians, including more than 10,000 children.

At least 25,105 people including more than 10,000 children, have been killed and 62,681 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The revised death toll from the October 7 attack in Israel stands at 1,139.

I agree, it did not end well for the few that laid down the gauntlet on the deep state openly. That being said, is Trump genuine or is this all just tragicomedy theatre? My expectations remain low, but one can hope?

🔹In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the RF Armed Forces continued their offensive operations west of #Rabotino village. The AFU, in turn, counterattacked near #Verbovoye. ⚠️"Swings" continue. Neither side can steadily seize the initiative. (Fig. 1)

🔹In the #Ugledar Section, the AFU "woke up" in #Urozhaynoye. As a result of a counterattack, they ⚠️managed to occupy a number of new positions in the area Zavetnoye Zhelaniye (⚠️Oleg Tsarov reported last night, that the Russians have 👉 moved back 500m due to by artillery destroyed positions). However, there is no talk of intensifying their offensive operations in this direction. (Fig. 2)

🔹On the #Donetsk Front, Russian troops continue to storm #Novomikhaylovka from the south. They are carrying out similar actions near #Georgiyevka and #Pervomayskoye. ⚠️The frontline without significant changes (⚠️There is a confirmed advance in #Georgiyevka, but apparently not significant enough for Gonzo). The RF Armed Forces managed to ⚠️advance on the southeastern outskirts of #Avdeyevka. And from the east and northeast ⚠️they did not, despite attacks supported by long range weapons. Fighting for Stepovoye (⚠️Stepnoye is still the wrong spelling by Gonzo and; not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Zaporozhye and Ugledar directions). The Russian Armed Forces also attacked near #Novokalinovo. (Fig. 3)

🔹In the #Bakhmut Direction, Russian troops continued their assault on the heights northwest of #Kleshcheyevka. They attacked from the direction of #Khromovo. Heavy oncoming battles for #Bogdanovka. (Fig. 4)

🔹In the #Lugansk Direction, the RF Armed Forces attacked #Belogorovka. ⚠️Without success. Much to the north, Russian forces have established ⚠️control over #Krakhmalnoye. An important motorway passes through the village. This section is now in the hands of the RF Armed Forces. Russian troops continued offensives near #Petropavlovka and in #Sinkovka. ⚠️The AFU are holding their positions. (Fig. 5)
