I was due in Court on January 15, but I got the flu on January 12. I was granted absence, however on the day the police still arrived at my house and tried to forcibly take me to Court.

Berezovskaya's a Russian-speaking journalist in Latvia. Riga rounded up 14 of her colleagues simply because they speak Russian and worked with Russian companies BEFORE they were even sanctioned.

Rats and mice overran the positions of Ukrainian soldiers, just like in the First World War - CNN

▪️As the publication notes, rats and mice are dangerous because they spread diseases that cause soldiers to vomit and bleed from the eyes, undermine combat effectiveness and recreate the terrible conditions of the First World War.
▪️According to the military woman “Kira”, the situation with rats at the front is critical: in one dugout where four people were sleeping, there were about 1000 mice.
▪️The invasion of mice is partly explained by the change of seasons and the mating cycle, as well as the static nature of the development of war.
▪️According to her, the rats disabled some of the equipment by devouring radios, repeaters, and wires. “Losses from mice alone in our dugout amount to a million hryvnia [$26,500],” she added.

Egypt has always wished to not involve itself militarily, on the boots ground sort of situation, in most of its modern history.

Observations of the Turkish occupation of northern Syria which has lasted almost a decade, where dozens, if not a hundred or two Turkish soldiers have been killed by terror/militant groups, with public opinion and morale decreasing and Turkey not being able to withdraw without having its prestige being cracked and waned, have convinced Command that the threat of direct military intervention is the last case scenario if all fails.

This is why Egypt has refused to involve itself in the war in Sudan with boots on the ground, fearing of a repetition of the scenario of Northern Syria, and if the Armed Forces are involved in one strategic direction, that leaves other directions lacking and vulnerable

The only time in recent memory that Egypt has directly threatened to militarily intervene was in Libya in 2020 - by forcing a red line in Sirte, by all accounts, the threat of intervention finally sobered up all sides of the Libyan civil war, and now everything is somewhat calm, and negotiations are on-going.

For Egypt to directly imply that Somalia can call on Egyptian military assistance in its confrontation with Ethiopia means that Command has put its foot down and that the red button is with the Somali officials - the same way we gave the red button to the National Parliament in Eastern Libya, there is simply no other choice.

Budanov gave an interview to the Financial Times in which he promised to continue attacks on Russia

Budanov vowed to continue attacks on Russia, despite the irritation of Ukraine's Western supporters.

“ We do not predict any drastic changes in the near future. Everything that we have done, we will continue to do ,” he said.

Budanov complained that he had to pay for striking Russia with his own safety. The head of the GUR moves only accompanied by bodyguards and intelligence agents, writes FT.

Budanov also commented on the unfulfilled predictions about the seizure of Crimea. “Although the original plans suggested otherwise, we kept our promise. This summer, our units entered Crimea several times,” said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
