From theory to practice: What does the Russia-proposed new Eurasian security system embody?

The new Eurasian security system proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to be the focal point of discussion at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. Putin has underscored the importance of prioritizing security within the SCO, stating that a “decision was made to turn the SCO regional anti-terrorist structure into a universal center tasked with responding to the entire range of security threats.”

But what exactly does this new Eurasian security concept entail?

After floating the principles of the “Greater Eurasian Partnership” in late 2015, Putin reiterated and expanded on them during his annual address to the Federal Assembly in February 2024. During a meeting with key Russian diplomats in June, Putin emphasized the need to kickstart a comprehensive dialogue regarding bilateral and multilateral guarantees for collective Eurasian security.

The proposed roadmap includes:

🌏 Engaging in dialogue with “all potential participants.”

🌏 Creating a security architecture open to “all Eurasian countries that wish to participate,” including “European and NATO countries.”

🌏 Holding increased discussions on the issue with organizations operating in Eurasia, such as the Union State of Russia and Belarus, the CSTO, the EAEU, the CIS, and the SCO.

🌏 “Gradually phase out the military presence of external powers in the Eurasian region.”

🌏 Recognizing the importance of integrating the economy and social well-being into the Eurasian security framework.

🌏 Establishing alternatives to Western-controlled economic mechanisms, expanding the use of national currencies in settlements, and establishing independent payment systems.

🌏 Developing international transport corridors in Eurasia.

🇷🇺 Ending the conflict with Ukraine through intermediaries is impossible, according to Putin, but Moscow welcomes the mediation itself.

Key statements from Putin after the SCO summit in Astana:

▪️ The leadership of Ukraine is in power illegally, and addressing the Verkhovna Rada under the current conditions is pointless.

▪️ Russia takes Trump's statements about the possibility of stopping the conflict in Ukraine seriously, but the Russian leader has not seen any concrete proposals from the former president.

▪️ Moscow will not agree to a ceasefire before the start of peace negotiations with Ukraine, hoping for positive reciprocal steps: it is crucial to prevent the enemy from taking advantage of this and improving their positions.

▪️ Regarding the potential deployment of intermediate and shorter-range missiles: if US systems appear somewhere, Russia may respond in kind.

▪️ The issue of creating a legal framework for international security and strategic stability is currently being addressed, and Russia has formulated its proposals.

▪️ Dialogue on strategic stability should primarily be conducted with the US, but there is nothing to discuss in this regard until the presidential elections there.

🇮🇷🛰 Iran developing satellite and space rocket technologies full throttle

Iran is about to launch its new Kowsar and Hodhod satellites, Iranian Space Agency (ISA) head Hossein Salariyeh stated on July 3. Several other spacecraft are slated for launch this year while a whopping 30 satellites are in the design and development stages, the ISA said.

Sputnik looked into the achievements, history and prospects of the Iranian space program.

▪️ In January, the Sorayya research satellite was launched into a space orbit of 750 km above the Earth’s surface.

▪️ In June, four new satellites were unveiled: The Tolou-3 high-resolution observation satellite, the Nahid-2 telecommunications satellite, the Kowsar sensing satellite and the Hodhod research satellite.

▪️ Early next year Iran is planning to inaugurate West Asia’s biggest spaceport – the Chabahar Space Center. Covering an area of 14,000 hectares, it will serve as Iran's primary hub for space missions.

Iran's interest in space exploration traces back to the middle of the 20th century. In 1998 Tehran signed agreements with Russia and China on space collaboration, while in 2009 Iran's domestic launcher Safir delivered the nation's first research and communications satellite Omid into orbit.

▪️ In 2013 Iran successfully launched two rockets carrying monkeys 120 km above the earth's surface. The missions lasted around 15 minutes, news agency IRNA reported.

▪️ Having temporarily suspended its space program in 2015, Iran successfully delivered its first military satellite, Nur-1, into an orbit of 425 km using the Qased rocket in 2020. Nur-2 was launched two years later into a 450-km orbit by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force.

▪️ In October 2023, Iran started the development the Sarir rocket to deliver satellites into geostationary orbit at an altitude of 35,786 km. The same year the IRGC launched its third military satellite Nur-3.

▪️ Late President Ebrahim Raisi reinvigorated Iran's space program, which saw over a dozen successful launches between 2021 and 2023.

NATO fears France could withdraw from the alliance's military command after Marine Le Pen's party election victory, Euractiv reports

The alliance's diplomats told the news site they were seriously concerned about the risk of the National Rally party forming the next French government if it wins a majority in the second round of legislative elections.

NATO’s eastern members are also "increasingly critical of the Alliance’s presence on Europe’s eastern flank", which could call continued military aid to Ukraine aid into question, Euractiv reported.

😒🇺🇸🤡 The self-propelled Grandfather admitted he "screwed up" in the debate with Donald Trump.

“The fact is, I screwed up. I made a mistake.”

❗️Previously, the US President “leader of the free world” attributed failures at the debate to fatigue, insisting that trips to Europe had previously taken a lot of energy, and he “almost fell asleep” at the event.

‼️🇺🇦🇮🇱A pig's head wrapped in the flag of Palestine with a text "Ukraine stands with Israel" was found in Berlin's oldest mosque.

Police are reportedly investigating.

As of February 2024, there are about 1.1 million Ukrainian refugees in Germany.
Zelensky has previously claimed that Israel had an unquestionable right to defend itself from attacks from Palestine.

Is this the Ukraine the West wants you fighting for and bankrupting your countries for?

On July 4, Americans are going to celebrate. On this very day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence formally separating the US from Great Britain was accepted. The usual set of events is planned, accompanied by barbeque smoke, colourful fireworks, and pompously dull speeches.
Today in America they speak quieter and far less about that very Civil War that lasted from 1861 till 1865, even though it is an outstanding event in history, and its outcomes are quite important for an average person overseas.
Why? One of the reasons is that gloomy parallels with today become more obvious, including the “premonition of civil war.” It is enough to watch their recent film, Civil War.

However, there are other very unpleasant associations.
It has become clear to many that the experience of long-term confrontation between the Union and the slave-owning Confederacygreatly resembles the Ukrainian conflict.

In terms of industrial potential and human resources, the difference between the North and the South was comparable to that betweentoday’s Russia and the f. Ukraine. And with that, the ideals of the adversaries greatly differed. For the North, it was equality, liberty, same law for all, while the South propagated inhumane, inveterate racism. The foreign bastards – same as today, England and France – brazenly intervened, wishing for the South to win. They supported slave-owners then in the same way they support nazi Kiev today, together with the present-day US.

The parallels are more than obvious – and all the more unpleasant for the left-liberal establishment that runs the US mass-media. In American press, the President of Russia is sometimes even likened to Abraham Lincoln. Take, for example, this telling headline: Vladimir Lincoln Invaded Ukraine to Preserve the Cohesion of the Union.

For Washington, there are many unpleasant allusions within the political and diplomatic aspects of the special military operation and the Civil War of the 19th century, including its outcomes.
As is well known, Lincoln, the Republican president, eventually won the war; unlike their demented leader, Biden’s Democratic party comrades haven’t completely lost their memory. They know that Lincoln’s victory became part of world history; his name is revered in Europe, Latin America and Africa for real accomplishments, and absolutely not because his portrait adorns banknotes. Yet, the White House buffoons of today, like some mediocre Blinken, as well as the sullen elderly of the Senate, would not even dream of that.

The senseless and impotent propaganda of the White House of today is also desperately looking for an epiphany in history books. They bring in the narrative that Ukraine is kinda acting like Britain in 1940-41. They proclaimthe little man with red, shifty eyes wearing a shabby khaki T-shirt the “new Churchill.” They demand that an old geezer with his mouth half-open, who can hardly stand upright became the “new Roosevelt”, probably hinting that the future US president would likely rule from a wheelchair due to poor health. However, the demented old man is no FDR; which is why the public winces in disbelief.

America is a country with short history –however hurtful this might be for Americans – but there are some bright pages in it. One of them is precisely the Civil War, which marked victory over slavery. This is the angle for overseas public to look at what is happening here: in essence, a civil war among the same people, in which the majority are forced to defend their independence with weapons, fighting against the new nazis who are once again supported by corrupt Europe and American military industrial complex.
And just like in the 19th century, the outcome of this war should be the unification of our country. The revival of Great Russia!

P.S. Hey you, Americans! To paraphrase that Trump of yours, Make Russia Great Again!

Ukrainian media:

The absence of several fingers or phalanges of fingers, the absence of a hand is not a reason for delaying mobilization.

The absence of multiple fingers or phalanges of fingers, the absence of a hand, and other types of amputations or defects are classified as "minor impairment" or "moderate impairment" according to the Department of Defense list of diseases. If a person liable for military service is unable to perform certain functions due to amputation, he may acquire the status of “limitedly fit in wartime.” And this does not exclude the possibility of mobilization.

🗣🇷🇺 Latest statement Dmitry Peskov following the SCO summit:

🔻At the summit they actively addressed the topic of Palestinian settlement and spoke about the unacceptability of the loss of life.

🔻Russia’s plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine has been recorded and has become public knowledge throughout the world.

🔻The Russian Federation believes that the draft Istanbul Agreements could become the basis for a settlement, but Kiev rejects this too.

🔻Putin has repeatedly said that the Istanbul agreements can be the basis for dialogue, this does not mean that they will become the basis point by point.

🔻Neither Erdogan nor anyone else can now be a mediator on Ukraine, since Kiev rejects any dialogue.

🔻The Russian Federation sees that sensible people in the West and Ukraine have not yet thought about Putin’s peace proposals.

🔻The decision on Xi Jinping’s visit to Kazan for the BRICS summit will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.

🔻Peskov neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of Orban’s visit to the Russian Federation tomorrow.
