Medovik Cake, also known as Russian Honey Cake🇷🇺

The dessert consists of layers of sponge cake with a cream filling and is often covered with nuts or crumbs made from leftover cake. While the thin layers harden shortly after coming out of the oven, the moisture of the filling softens it again over time. There are many recipes and variations of this cake, but the main ingredient is honey, giving it its characteristic taste and flavor. The cake is a popular dessert in countries of the former Soviet Union.

Desserts similar to Medovik are also popular in other Eastern and Central European countries. There is the Czech medovnik, Lithuanian medutis and the Polish miodownik.

🇬🇧 The Smithsonian Castle, 1860

Built between 1847 and 1855 by the architect James Renwick Jr., the Smithsonian Castle is the emblematic headquarters of the Smithsonian Institute, in Washington D.C. Behind its elegant neo-Gothic facades hides an institution surrounded by mystery.

According to numerous independent sources, the Smithsonian would have disappeared thousands of artifacts that could alter our understanding of History: bones of giants, anachronistic technological objects, evidence of ancient advanced civilizations, etc.

Many of these discoveries would have been intentionally hidden from the general public in order to keep it in carefully orchestrated ignorance and, perhaps worse, deliberately mislead Humanity about their true and extraordinary origins.

🇬🇧 The Legend of Quetzalcóatl

It is said that not everything was recorded in the codices. During the capture of Tenochtitlán, while Hernán Cortés and an eagle warrior were crossing arms high above the city, something unexpected interrupted the combat.

From the top of the Templo Mayor, amid smoke and embers, a serpentine figure emerged. Was it Quetzalcóatl returning to protect his people, or an ancient creature that had lain dormant since immemorial time?

The roar that shook the sky stopped both enemies. For a moment there was no conquest or resistance, but a common fear of what was beyond human understanding.

The ancients warned that if the balance between the world of men and that of the gods was broken, something sacred would awaken to reclaim what was lost.

And that night, the snake crossed the sky again.

🇬🇧 The Daisē Kokugai Zu Maps

These are Japanese World maps created during the Edo period (approximately from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century). They are called "Daisē Kokugai Zu" or "Maps of the World and Peoples".

These maps were quite rare for their time because Japan was then an isolated country (Sakoku policy), and access to the outside world was limited.

The maps were made based on the knowledge that the Japanese obtained from Dutch and Chinese traders, as well as through missionaries.

There is a problem with Australia on all maps. And in general, the maps reflect times after the flood, and they are certainly copies of older drawings.

The dating of the maps is impossible, but if it is calculated approximately, that withdrawal of water should have occurred 7-8 thousand years ago.

🇬🇧 That Which Pretends to Pretend

Baudrillard didn’t mourn the loss of the real—he questioned whether it had ever been needed. In Simulacra and Simulation, he maps a progression in which signs first reflect reality, then distort it, then conceal that reality is gone, and finally circulate with no anchor at all. At the final stage, the simulacrum doesn’t hide the truth—it becomes truth. The copy doesn’t mimic the real. It generates a reality of its own.

Disneyland, he argues, isn’t just a fantasy land. It functions as a decoy—drawing attention to its artificiality to convince us that the rest of society is still grounded. But the rest of society is not. Politics, culture, media—they operate as simulations, governed by images referencing other images. The spectacle of the real becomes more important than the real itself. We aren’t surrounded by illusions—we live inside systems that no longer require originals.

Baudrillard’s provocation was not that truth has been buried, but that we have adapted to its absence without noticing. The simulation isn’t a veil—it’s a habitat. What once would have been seen as fraud is now the baseline. The danger is not that we mistake the mask for the face. It’s that the mask remains long after the face has ceased to matter.

🇬🇧 "We must abandon once and for all the spirit of servitude that has corroded our national body for centuries. We need to cultivate virtue, discipline, righteousness. The future of China depends not only on our armies, but on our moral unity. That is why I urge all citizens to start with internal reform. May everyone strive to be worthy of the great mission of restoring China.

The blood shed in Shanghai, in Nanjing, in so many martyred cities, will not be forgotten. But he must remind us that only with courage, sacrifice and discipline will we win. And we will win, because our cause is just, because our heritage is glorious, and because our faith in China's destiny is unshakable.

Let the world see that China will not fall. We are not a submissive people. We are the heirs of Confucius, Sun Yat-sen and all those who lived and died for a new, free and strong China. With the help of God, with the firmness of our will and with the unity of our people."
