Alaa Al-Din Al-Bazian, convicted of planning the murder of Zehava Ben-Ovadia, was released to secure the freedom of hostages held by Hamas.

The Palestinian Authority now gave him the rank of major general in order to pay him a top “salary.”

Naji Arar, another terrorist also released to secure the freedom of hostages, was now given rank of colonel so he can get a “salary.”

This is the Palestinian Authority’s policy of Pay-for-Slay. They finance terrorists, incentivizing the next perpetrator.

The PA has at times claimed to have suspended this policy of ensuring ongoing terror, to curry favor with western democracies nauseated by such behavior. Yet there’s always a workaround, an ongoing implementation of this policy of nurturing terror.

The Palestinian Authority is deeply embedded in a worldview founded on terrorism.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office, this afternoon (Wednesday, 24 December 2025):

The Hamas terror organization continues to violate the ceasefire and President Trump’s 20-point plan.

Their ongoing and continuing public refusal to disarm is an ongoing flagrant violation and again today their violent intentions and violations were confirmed by their detonation of an IED that wounded an IDF officer.

Hamas must be held to the agreement that they signed on, which includes removal from governance, demilitarization and de-radicalization.

Israel will respond accordingly.
