This video, taken by Palestinian terrorists in December 2023, shows six Israeli hostages – Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Carmel Gat – as their captors allowed them to light Hanukkah candles.

In August 2024, all six of them – all innocent people – were brutally murdered by terrorists in a Hamas tunnel.

We will not forget. We will not forgive.

The newly surfaced video shows Alex shaving Hersh and Ori in Hamas captivity - part of the group of six, including Carmel, Eden, and Almog, who were murdered together by Hamas.

At one point Alex says: “There’s the movie The Pianist, right? From the Holocaust… so I’m the barber now.”
A devastating glimpse into the terror Hamas inflicted on them in their final days.

The Palestinian Authority sat aside & watched since 7 October, 2023 while Israel addressed their alter ego, Hamas.

Make no mistake, the PA encourages terror, including that perpetrated by Hamas, with salaries in exchange for murder. It’s policy. It’s Pay-For-Slay. It’s terror.

The UN General Assembly’s call for Israel to cooperate with UNRWA-Hamas proves once again that it is a morally distorted body.
As proven by abundant documents and video clips, UNRWA’s employees took part in the October 7th massacre. UNRWA allowed Hamas to use its facilities as Hamas’ headquarters, for the storage of weapons, and for hiding and holding hostages.
In the cynical political machine of the UN, everything is done to ignore this reality: the General Assembly turned to the politicized ICJ to obtain an opinion for political use, and now this political theatre is adopting the preordained absurd “conclusions”.
Israel salutes the countries that did not support this shameful resolution.

🔴 *ELIMINATED: Ra’ad Sa’ad, Head of the Weapons Production Headquarters of Hamas’ Military Wing and One of the Architects of the Brutal October 7th Massacre*

Sa’ad was one of the last remaining veteran senior militants in the Gaza Strip and a close associate of Marwan Issa, the deputy head of Hamas’ military wing. He held several senior positions and was a central figure within the organization’s military leadership.

He was responsible for the deaths of many soldiers through explosive devices manufactured by Hamas’ weapons production units during the war.

In recent months, Sa’ad played a leading role in Hamas’ military wing, including direct involvement in violating the ceasefire agreement. He also oversaw the continued production of weapons in the Gaza Strip during the ceasefire period.

His elimination significantly degrades Hamas’ ability to reestablish its capabilities.

President Isaac Herzog comments on Sydney terrorist attack on Jewish community

Speaking at an event recognizing the extraordinary achievements of immigrants to Israel at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, President Isaac Herzog spoke of the news of the mass shooting terror attack against a community Chanukah celebration on Bondi Beach, in Sydney, Australia.

President Herzog: “At these very moments, our sisters and brothers in Sydney, Australia, have been attacked by vile terrorists in a very cruel attack on Jews who went to light the first candle of Chanukah on Bondi Beach.

“Our hearts go out to them. The heart of the entire nation of Israel misses a beat at this very moment, as we pray for the recovery of the wounded, we pray for them and we pray for those who lost their lives.

“We send our warmest strength from Jerusalem.

“We repeat our alerts time and again to the Australian government to seek action and fight against the enormous wave of antisemitism which is plaguing Australian society.”

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar:

"I'm appalled by the murderous shooting attack at a Hanukkah event in Sydney, Australia.
These are the results of the anti-Semitic rampage in the streets of Australia over the past two years, with the anti-Semitic and inciting calls of “Globalise the Intifada” that were realized today.
The Australian government, which received countless warning signs, must come to its senses!"

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar also spoke with David Ossip, President of the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.
Minister Sa’ar expressed his shock over the deadly shooting in Sydney, Australia, and sought to convey his support to the community during this difficult time.

The President of the Board shared preliminary details of the severe incident with the Minister.

Today we opened in Jerusalem the 2nd IHRA Plenary under Israel’s Presidency, taking place between 14–18 December.

We look forward to continuing our shared work with the 41 participating delegations to strengthen Holocaust remembrance, education & research and to advance the global fight against antisemitism.

On this day, with an antisemitic terror attack perpetrated in Sydney, Australia it is all the more acute that more countries and organizations adopt the IHRA antisemitism definition and specifications.

We stood for a minute’s silence in memory of those killed and in solidarity with Australian Jewry.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar:

"Just spoke with Australian FM Wong, at her initiative, and expressed, on behalf of Israel, our pain and sorrow over the deadly antisemitic terrorist attack in Sydney.

I said that since Oct. 7 there has been a surge in antisemitism in Australia, including violent incitement against Israel and Jews in the digital and public spheres, including comparisons of Israel to the Nazis and to the Holocaust, as well as the burning of synagogues and Israeli flags, and marches featuring explicit expressions of hatred.

I also said that security for the Jewish community in Australia will be achieved only through a real change in the public atmosphere. Calls such as “Globalize the Intifada,” “From the River to the Sea Palestine Will be Free,” and “Death to the IDF” are not legitimate, are not part of the freedom of speech, and inevitably lead to what we witnessed today.

The Australian government must take strong action against the use of these antisemitic calls."

The world record in deception goes to the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Iran perpetrated murderous terror attacks against Israelis and Jews in the past, and it is constantly attempting to murder Israelis and Jews all over the world.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar:

"Hanukkah this year opened with joy mixed with sorrow.

Jews in Australia and Jews around the world are lighting memorial candles alongside Hanukkah candles in memory of those murdered in the horrific terror attack in Sydney.

Antisemitism has not had such a rejuvenation since the years of the Holocaust. After 80 years, it is back in fashion.

It's a shocking fact - but still a fact - that even in 2025, Jews are being hunted around the world.

Antisemitism must be fought. Antisemites must be exposed. Calls such as “Globalise the Intifada” have only one meaning: a call to hunt Jews everywhere in the world. They must not be allowed. They must be banned. I said this today to the Australian Foreign Minister.

Western governments face a simple choice: fight antisemitism or normalize it. The Australian government has failed this test. Even compared to the Western countries, the wave of antisemitism that has swept it, both in the virtual space and in the public sphere, is immense.
It is, of course, not the only one that has failed.

Israel, the state of the Jewish people, will fight antisemitism with determination.

We will call things by their name. We will not allow the normalization of hatred and persecution of Jews.

But we will also remember and remind: on Hanukkah 5786, the Hebrew defensive power is stronger than ever.

Our enemies in the region who rose up to destroy us have been struck, and continue to be struck. Time and again since the establishment of the state, the words of Ze’ev Jabotinsky have been fulfilled:

“For when the enemy bursts from ambush,
Then we shall rise and stand in might:
Long live the youth, long live the sword,
Long live the Maccabean blood!”

The eternal people have returned to our historic homeland, and we are here to stay.

My brothers and sisters, you already know: The light will overcome the darkness. Our people will continue to go from strength to strength, to the open envy of its enemies. And the Eternity of Israel will not lie.

We will light the candles. A great light in a world where darkness abounds. We will fulfill the historic and moral mission of our people.

Happy Hanukkah to all of Israel!"

"Congratulations to the president-elect of Chile, José Antonio Kast, on his impressive victory in the presidential elections.

This victory expresses the desire of the Chilean people for change.

I wish the President-Elect great success. I hope and believe that this change will also be reflected also in strengthening relations between our countries and in advancing cooperation between our people. 🇨🇱 🇮🇱"

Tonight we light the 2nd candle of Hanukkah.
The photo shows Beit Guvrin caves, hand-carved more than 2,000 years ago.
It probably wasn’t easy to light a full Hanukkiah using only stones…
