The Prime Minister’s Office, today (Wednesday, 5 November 2025) [translated from Hebrew]:

Israel has received, via the Red Cross, the coffin of a fallen hostage, which was handed over to an IDF and ISA force inside the Gaza Strip. From there, it will be transferred to Israel, where it will be received in a military ceremony with the participation of an IDF rabbi.

It will then be transferred to the Health Ministry National Center of Forensic Medicine. Upon completion of the identification process, formal notification will be delivered to the family.

All of the hostages' families have been updated accordingly, and our hearts are with them in this difficult hour. The effort to return our hostages is ongoing and will not cease until the last hostage is returned.

The public is requested to respect the families' privacy and to refrain from spreading rumors and unofficial and unverified information.

We will continue to provide updates with reliable information as necessary.

Joshua, 21, an agricultural intern from Tanzania, came to Kibbutz Nahal Oz to learn modern farming and one day start his own agricultural business back home.

Kind, polite and hardworking, he embodied hope and curiosity on his very first trip abroad.

Just two and a half weeks after arriving in Israel, Hamas terrorists attacked. Joshua was kidnapped and later murdered in Gaza - his dreams and his family’s hopes stolen in an instant.

After 761 days, Joshua’s body has been returned to Israel - for the dignified farewell he was denied for far too long.

"After eleven long and painful years, too long, Lt. Hadar Goldin, a hero of Israel, has today been returned to his homeland. In the eleven years that have passed since he fell in battle and was abducted during Operation Protective Edge, the image of Hadar has stood on my desk in the various positions I held, and his memory has remained etched in my heart throughout. During these years, in which pain, hope, and prayer accompanied the Goldin family and the entire people of Israel, Michal and I had the privilege of getting to know Simcha, Leah, Ayelet, Chami, Tzur, and the entire beloved family up close. The people of Israel embrace Hadar’s family today with deep love and boundless admiration for their unwavering strength and relentless, tireless struggle to bring Hadar home. The Chief of the General Staff of the IDF, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, personally informed Hadar Goldin's parents, Leah and Simcha, of the return of their son's body after 11 years in captivity of Hamas.

The Norwegian Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Store, is setting new records of moral depravity, anti-Israel hostility, and antisemitism.

He chose to participate in a ceremony that turned a horrific episode of the murder and persecution of Jews - the anniversary of Kristallnacht (the Night of Broken Glass) - into a weapon against the Jewish state, Israelis, and Jews.

This is an affront to the memory of the Holocaust’s victims - especially the more than 750 Norwegian Jews who were deported and murdered by the Nazis and their local collaborators.

The event, organized by the so-called Norway Centre Against Racism and backed by the "Norwegian Palestine Committee", exploits the Holocaust to fuel anti-Zionism and antisemitism.
