Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, today (Sunday, 7 September 2025), at the start of the Government meeting [translated from Hebrew]:

“We are intensifying the operation on the outskirts of, and inside, Gaza City. We are eliminating Nukhba terrorists who played a significant role in the October 7 massacre, including the accursed terrorist who called his parents and took pride in having personally murdered 10 Israelis. Now we called the family and informed it that this terrorist has been eliminated. It is a clear message that we will reach them all. I want to thank, on your behalf as well, the ISA and the IDF for doing this important work.

We are eliminating terrorist infrastructure and nefarious terrorist high-rises. We have established an additional humanitarian corridor to enable the civilian population in Gaza to leave for a safe place and receive humanitarian assistance there. In the meantime, approximately 100,000 people have left Gaza. Hamas is trying to do its utmost so that no one will go and they will stay there in order to serve as human shields for it. By the way, it does not refrain from any means. Only recently we have seen how it shoots women and children in the legs and if necessary, shoots them. Therefore, it is expected that it will try to prevent the exit that is necessary from a humanitarian perspective and from our perspective regarding the war. We want to focus on the terrorists themselves and enable the civilian population to go out.

On Friday, Hamas issued a cruel and reprehensible video of Alon Ohel and Guy Gilboa-Dalal. I must say that I spoke at length with their families on Friday and underscored – on behalf of myself, you and the entire people – our support for them. I must also say that most citizens of Israel, the great majority of the citizens of Israel, are standing steadfast against this psychological terrorism.

Our effort in Gaza against the last strongholds, in effect last important stronghold, Gaza City, is part of our effort to complete the crushing of the stranglehold by the Iranian axis. This axis was intended to destroy the State of Israel, and by dismantling it and striking it, we are removing an existential threat to Israel, the primary threat.

We have landed very severe blows on Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, just recently you saw this, and we brought about the fall of the Assad regime. Of course, the peak was the severe blow on the patron of this axis – Iran, and the distancing of the existential of nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles over our heads. We will continue this effort until we achieve all of our objectives for the war.

I am aware of the price that we are paying in the diplomatic and public diplomacy fields for the State of Israel and the best way to get out of this, of course, is to establish completely new mechanisms as we mentioned, and – of course – to end the war as fast as possible with the victory that we have defined: Eliminating Hamas, the return of all the hostages and ensuring that Gaza never again threatens Israel.

But regarding the public diplomacy damage, I would like to say one thing: If I need to choose between victory over our enemies and malicious propaganda against us, I choose victory over our enemies, as opposed to the opposite. I do not want stories that we have been beaten by our enemies and for us to be eulogized well in the global media. I choose victory.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar will depart tomorrow morning (Monday) for a two-day diplomatic visit to Hungary and Croatia.

During his visit to Hungary, Minister Sa’ar will meet with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

On Tuesday, Minister Sa’ar will continue to Croatia, where he will meet with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman, and Speaker of the Parliament Gordan Jandroković. He will also hold a meeting with the Jewish community in Zagreb and visit the memorial to Holocaust victims and the Ustaše regime.

As part of the diplomatic visit, Minister Sa’ar will also hold meetings with President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović and Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu.

Palestinian terrorists again attacked Israeli civilians in Jerusalem today, shooting at passengers waiting at the bus stop in the Ramot neighborhood. At the moment, four people are known to have been killed, 12 wounded, and two terrorists were eliminated.

MDA Spokesperson: Casualty summary from the Jerusalem attack

After medical examinations, MDA EMTs and paramedics pronounced 4 deaths at the scene, including a man about 50 and 3 men around 30. At Shaare Zedek Hospital, the death of a woman about 50, who had been evacuated in critical condition, was confirmed.

MDA teams treated and evacuated 12 casualties to hospitals in Jerusalem, including: 7 in serious condition with gunshot wounds, 2 in moderate condition, and 3 mildly injured from glass shards.

Total: 5 fatalities, 7 in serious condition, 2 moderate, 3 mild.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar held a joint press conference in Budapest this morning with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, following their meetings. This was the seventh meeting between the two ministers.

During the press conference, Minister Sa'ar referred to the terror attack this morning in Jerusalem and the dangers of a Palestinian state:

"Immediately after landing in Budapest I received terrible news.

This morning, there was a horrific terror attack in our capital Jerusalem.

Two Palestinian terrorists murdered Jews on busses at the Ramot Junction in the entrance to Jerusalem. So far, six Israelis have been killed.

There are many, many injured, including a pregnant woman, we pray for them.

We are in a war against radical Islamist terrorism.

Europe and the international community - every country - must now make a clear choice: Are they on Israel's side? Or are they on the side of the Jihadists?

We know Hungary is on our side.

We completely reject the current attempts to force Israel to accept a Palestinian terror state in the heart of our tiny land. The terrorists this morning came from PA territories. The establishment of such a terror state would have one goal - the elimination of the State of Israel.

It must be made clear: The Palestinian Authority has never disconnected from its support for terror. It rewards and encourages terror with its "Pay for Slay" policy for terrorists and their families. The more severe the crime – the more they pay. It continues its incitement against Israel and Jews - in schools, textbooks, mosques and media.

*Based on its actions - the PA does not deserve a state.*

Secretary Rubio recently made it clear: the PA and "PLO" are not meeting their most basic obligations from the Oslo Accords over 30 years ago.

There can be no reliable peace process without disconnecting from the ethos of terror.

The initiative led by France disconnects the issue of statehood - one of the final status issues - from peace.

That's a grave mistake. It's an attempt to unilaterally grant the Palestinians a state - without a historical compromise, without meeting and fulfilling the obligations they made in the midterm agreements.

By doing so, it harms the chances to achieve peace in the future.

The French initiative harms regional stability. It rewards Hamas for the October 7th massacre.

I must say openly - It serves as an incentive for Hamas to prolong the war.

It will only destabilize the region.

It will push Israel toward steps too.

This morning's terror attack was a dark reminder of the danger we are facing.

I urge the responsible leaders around the world who recognize the clear danger in a Palestinian terror state: Now is the time to speak out and make your voices heard."

A short while ago, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar met with Croatia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gordan Grlić Radman, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb. The two ministers held a joint press conference.

"Israel has been fighting for its existence against radical Islamist terrorism for almost two years.

Just yesterday - Palestinian terrorists murdered 6 Israelis in a horrific attack in our capital, Jerusalem. They injured many.
These murderers came from just a few miles away - from the Palestinian Authority's territories - to kill Jews.
This is the dangerous reality we face in our tiny land.

Hamas is responsible for initiating the war with the October 7th massacre. But Hamas is also responsible for its continuation until today.
Just two days ago, Hamas again fired rockets at the communities near Gaza, those that were attacked on October 7th.

*But the war can end tomorrow. President Trump said it clearly two days ago: Israel said YES to his proposal. We are ready to accept a full deal that would end the war based on the Cabinet decision. We only have two simple demands: 1. The return of our hostages. There are still 48 hostages being held in cruel captivity in Gaza. 2. Hamas must lay down its arms.*

The second condition is not critical only for Israel.
It ensures a better future of Gaza and the Palestinians
A different future - free of Hamas' oppressive terrorist regime.
The problem of Hamas - and radical Islamist terror states - is not just Israel's problem.
It's a problem for the Palestinians too. It is a problem for regional stability.

Yesterday's terrorist attack demonstrates the dangers of establishing a Palestinian terror state in the heart of our homeland.
But a Palestinian state does not simply threaten Israel's existence.
The current initiative to recognize a so-called "Palestinian state" also harms regional stability.
It rewards Hamas for the October 7th massacre.
It serves as an incentive for Hamas to continue the war.
This initiative will not bring us closer to peace or security.
The opposite - it will only destabilize the region."
