🇷🇺🇵🇰 On November 18, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who was in Moscow as head of his country’s official delegation to the SCO Council of the Heads of Government meeting.
The Foreign Ministers discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda and coordinated their positions on the major international and regional problems.
The Parties underscored the overlapping of Moscow’s and Islamabad’s positions on the majority of aspects on the international agenda.
🤝 They have also reaffirmed their intention to continue a constructive interaction within the #SCO, which is a key component in the Eurasian system of security and sustainable development.

🇷🇺🇵🇰 18 ноября Посол России в Пакистане А.П.Хорев принял участие в презентации книги «Российско-пакистанские отношения: комплексный исторический и стратегический анализ» в исламабадском Институте стратегических исследований (ИСИ).
📘 Публикация представляет собой сборник из 13 статей российских и пакистанских экспертов, подготовленный научным коллективом ИСИ совместно с Институтом востоковедения Российской академии наук. В книге освещаются исторические аспекты отношений между двумя странами, состояние и перспективы двустороннего сотрудничества в торгово-экономической, энергетической, научно-технической и культурно-образовательной сферах, оцениваются возможности для взаимодействия в региональном и международном формате.
❗️Выступая на презентации, А.П.Хорев выразил признательность ИСИ
и авторам книги, подчеркнув важность и своевременность инициативы по ее публикации. Посол отметил позитивную динамику двустороннего сотрудничества, очередными подтверждениями которой стали поездка российских парламентариев на Межпарламентскую конференцию спикеров (11-12 ноября, г.Исламабад), а также визит Заместителя Премьер-министра/Министра иностранных дел Пакистана И.Дара в Москву для участия в Совете глав правительств ШОС (17-18 ноября).

Своими взглядами на перспективы развития двусторонних отношений поделились и другие участники презентации. Генеральный директор ИСИ С.Махмуд указал на успешный процесс отхода наших стран
от устаревших идеологических установок времен холодной войны.
🤝 Главный гость мероприятия пакистанский сенатор М.Х.Сайед отметил эффективную координацию усилий Москвы и Исламабада в рамках #ООН, #ШОС и #ОИС, а также выступил с инициативой создания новой региональной площадки– Евразийского форума взаимосвязанности с участием стран #СНГ, Средней и Южной Азии.

📘 Consisting of 13 articles written by Russian and Pakistani experts, the book was prepared by the ISSI research team in collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The book highlights historic aspects of relations between the two countries and the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, energy, science, technology, culture and education, with a focus on opportunities for cooperation in regional and international formats.
❗️Ambassador Khorev expressed gratitude to the ISSI and the book's authors, noting the initiative's importance and timeliness. The Ambassador highlighted the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, as evidenced by the participation of a high-level delegation from both chambers of the Russian parliament in the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (Islamabad, November 11–12) and by the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar to Moscow for the SCO Council of Heads of Government (November 17–18).

He promoted an initiative to create a new regional platform, the Eurasian Connectivity Forum, which would include the #CIS, Central Asian countries, and South Asian countries.
