Today we saw many injured friends. Today alone 73 were injured. This means that since the protests at the dam began on 8 January, 160 civilians have been injured and 14 lost their lives.
Today ambulances could not evacuate the wounded to the nearest hospitals for hours because the Turkish state continued bombing around the dam. A few days ago an ambulance was bombed evacuating the wounded but this did not happen today. Thankfully, many people have now been evacuated and are being treated in hospital.
Lea, a young woman and climate and human rights activist, was injured in the bombings. Her condition now is stable.
We leave you today with her message.

Today we remember Kobane. In our recent brochure Murat Karayılan, reflects on Kobane and reveals untold stories of the young men and women who took on ISIS, securing freedom and safety—not only for the region but for the world.

Because everyone should know that for almost 2 months, thousands of people of northern and eastern Syria have been taking turns defying Turkey's attacks by their presence on the dam. The names of the 24 civilians who sacrificed their lives in this action to protect their region and their people, in which over 200 people were injured, should be written on every wall.
This action is of critical importance in defending the gains of the Rojava revolution. It must be supported by all forces fighting against capitalism and fascism around the world.

The armed resistance laid the foundation for the social and political force that later made the revolution in Rojava possible and turned the Kurdish movement into an indispensable player in the region.
Our brochure, published in 2022, documents 38 years of revolutionary experience and shows how determination and organisation turned into a movement that gives hope and inspiration far beyond Kurdistan.
It is our task to preserve and study this knowledge and to contribute it to the worldwide struggles for freedom.
